Well, one of my LED's blew. It was the 2nd one from the left. I took a closer look, and there was water drops inside the tube. I'm going to put some clear silicone in there and hope that stops the moisture problem. If not, back it goes.

Edit: I just got back from advance auto with some clear silicone, and I put a dab on each end of the light bar. I hope that takes care of it. I can live with one blown LED. I'm just glad I caught it before it blew more of them. For all of you that recently bought light bars, it would be a good idea to check for moisture in the tube.

PlasmaGlow?

I bought one from ebay today too. It was a plasmaglow brand. I planned on using some silicone to seal it as soon as I checked it for blown leds. Anyone else had the plasmaglow flavor? thoughts or opinions?

Well, after I used clear silicone on each end of the tube it stopped letting water in. I still have one blown LED, but that seemed to take care of it. Whoever builds these things must get in a hurry and not pay attention to what they're doing.

My new Fire and Ice replacement just showed up, YES. I was so happy when i came home and saw the 3" by 60" inch box that daid FRAGILE on the side of it, i just hope this one isn't broken like the last one stylinconcepts sent me! Im gunna wait till next weekend when i have alot of time to install it properly with the reverse wires spliced in. Noles u ever get ur fire and ice all rigged up properly? Are most of you guys screwing yours in? not sure i want to adhere this one on i really want to screw it on but then id have to buy sheet metal screw and all that crap and i have no idea where to screw it through with out messing anything up.

I got mine in on Monday of this week and I installed it yesterday. Installation was about 20 minutes. Would have been less but the batteries in my fluke went dead and I had to change mid way. Looks pretty nice and its good and out of the way. today i used some silicone to seal the ends up. Amazingly enough, the top and bottom were already sealed with silicone. No blown LEDs so far. Will probably reposition it tomorrow and add two self-tapping screws.

I went out and started my truck to go to the store this morning, and I thought I'd turn my lights on and see if I had any more blown l.e.d.'s. To my surprise, the l.e.d. that I thought was blown and long gone, is now working again! I thought "That's weird"? So it appears that after I applied clear silicone to each end of the light tube, it keeps the water out and it stays dry now.
