Billet Grille noises....
Billet Grille noises....
I have the full REPLACEMENT Billet Grille that extends all the way to the edge of the front opening. It sits flush with the chrome grille frame on my 05 F150.
I noticed at around 50-60mph, a pretty loud whistle or humm now comes from the front of the truck. Any of you with this particular grille have this issue???

there was a guy with a similar complaint earlier, about two weeks ago. He emailed the manufacture, and they said check for little dimples, or spots in the weld and finish.
I personally recomended he checked the seal around the grill itself. Like where it matches up to the body. B,c if the gap is irregular it may be causing some of the vibration and noise.

I have the Roush Edition Grille and have noticed that same noise. Before I had the honeycomb grille and no whistle, so I know its the new grille.
The only person that has noticed it other than me is my wife.
Its not too loud, I just turn on the radio and it goes away

Same problem here too! I have found nothing that will solve it and have tried many things. Getting used to it is the best thing I guess! mine is the worst driving head on into the 50 mph winds around here
I have heard of this problem from several people with billet grilles. Seem that is 1 side effect with these horizontal bar type grills. The bars are so close together and thin they vibrate and produce a hum of some sort.

glad to know i am not hearing things. I am thinking of trying to somehow fix a screen to the backside of it to see if that helps out....or do smaller sections to pinpoint where on the grille its coming from. my first assumption would be the ends.....which is where sound would release off the grille lines.
