Here are the pictures of the center console I got from LWM taken last weekend.

Thanks again 97CustomXLT

Sorry they are pretty big but it is easier to see exactly how it looks installed.

Talking

Just thought I'd let you all know that I ran up to Oklahoma this weekend and exchanged the 2000 model console for a 1998. Dropped it in and it fits great! I have my armrests working again. Also (and I KNOW this is really **** of me), the shade of dark brown for the tan/brown interior was changed for 2000...it is a bit lighter now. The older console colors match perfectly. If you are considering this swap, be sure to ask for a 1999 or EARLIER Expy console!

Indigo,

Glad to hear that the '98 fit and matched perfectly! I figured that the '98 would be a better match than the '00

I have the 60/40 leather in my 01 Screw and am wanting a bigger console. Any suggestions? It looks like the Expy consoles are being put in trucks with Captain's Chairs. Help??

Hey, this is probably very late in this thread, but I found a nicely detailed "HowTo" for an Expy console in the pickups.
Check out:

    G. Andrews;
    Actually .... all of that info is available (and was initiated) on www.f150online.com . The folks at http://www.f150world.com asked for my photos and notes after they saw the posts here. As I have said many times previously, Blueflareside is the gentleman that really got this mod started. It's amazing what is on this board - - with the help of Steve's search engine. Just thought you would like to know ....

    The general concensus from both web pages is that you get better response and more information on mods from Seve's F-150 Online site than on any other enthusiast page. I happen to agree. A tribute to all of you!

    Fedex Pilot,
    How do you like the access roll up cover? Any leaks or problems with it? You ever hear of the Truxedo cover?

    BlackF150;
    I really like the Access roll-up cover - - very practical for someone that often carries cargo that extends above the bedrails. It's well made and relatively easy to install. You need to add a little weather stripping (not supplied by manufacturer) during install. I missed a spot (??) and have a small leak on the left side/ forward. It let's in just enough water to collect in two of the troughs (running front to back) in the duraliner floor. Cargo stays dry, since it rests on the "peaks" of the liner - - I suppose that's one of the reasons they're made that way. I'm not familiar with the brand you noted in your post. You may want to start a thread on that (after doing a search) - - someone on here can more than likely supply detail. Best of luck ....

    hey bumabayashi,

    i have a 98 S/C with the 60/40 split front seat and i took a day and a little creative woodworking (1/4" plywood) and built a floor mounted center console. i designed it to hold my CB / analog satchel phone (obsolete), and the control console for my 12 disc cd changer. it even holds two LARGE coffe cups or large gator aid bottles securely (that don't stay in the wifes 99 expy console). so you could always design one yourself.

    the plywood or a piece of sheet metal would solve the hole problem for you guys that swaped in the expy console's add a little carpet material and you get a nice looking mounting plate for multiple pwr adapters to keep the kids quite in the back. i would not advise the radio controls though my wife's 99 expy has them and the only good thing is it's fun to upset her when I occasionaly ride in back to play with the kids.
