Both companies make great car care products. I've used products from both companies extensively and found them top-notch.

I use a whole range of different companys products. I use a "good quality" wax about once a month.(carnuba by Royal) A cleaner/wax about twice a year.(mothers) A wash w/wax every week.(blue coral w/carnuba) Tire gel(meguires) and I just got a scratch remover (blue coral) that I'm trying out. Plus I have a chrome polish and a conditioner for the dash. I really like all the products I use but I think there are plenty others that would do just as good. Try a few, just make sure that your wax is a good one and only use a cleaner/wax occasionaly.

I used to be a Meguires fan too ( my second choice) but I think Liquid Glass has got to be the best thing goin. I have the 91
nite (all black) and people still stop and ask me what kind of wax I use on that thing and it's 9 years old and has over 100K
on it! I tell them no wax that I use LG since it is a synthetic and contains no waxes. Listen anything that tells you on the can
that if you want to remove the stuff you need varsol and #00 steel wool and a strong arm has got to be tough. And the more coats you stick on the more layers you have after baking it in the sun. I was turned on to this stuff along time ago on the internet...back when prodigy was the rage (1989) and its the
only thing that holds up against FLA "lovebug goo" Soon as I got my 1999 truck home I stripped off the old wax with Mothers wax remover (since I couldn't find the Liquid Glass pretreatment stuff here in GA) and put on the initial two coats of Liquid Glass. This stuff is great on any non porous surface
and I use it on all the chrome on my Honda Magna too... No I don't sell it but I sure like the stuff. It is pricey though at 16.00
a can at Pepboys but a can lasts about two years.I am curious though about the Prolong treatment package I saw the other day...Has anyone tried it?

Well this was the title to the article in our August '99 issue (Swimsuit issue) SHOP STOP section.
I did a little research and talked to the manufacturer on their product and they gave me the insight on wax products. To say the least, SURLUSTER is one of the best products out on the market that is designed with the purest ingredients, including flor fina carnauba wax.
Here's a stunner: They actually make wax for other big name suppliers but of course I can reveal what wax companies. Ok, I confess...they didn't tell me either.
Anyhow I hope this helps. Check them out at
http://www.SurLuster.com or at 1800-871-5600.

I tried the Prolong Wax. I did not beleive the adds but so far so good. My truck is black and it really did a great job without streaking. It has been about two weeks since I put it on and right now we are getting rained on by Dennis so I will know how it stands up to rain anyway.

Hey Dogcam, I agree 100% - Liquid Glass is the best in my opinion. It is easy to remove, last longer than others, and feels like glass when finished. My wife had a '96 Taurus that was in superior condition on the outside - when traded two months ago. I have been using this product for about 10 years myself and have yet to find competition that can compare to it. It is well worth the $16.99 price.

I'll have to go with Noles on this one, Zaino Bros. I heard about it on this board somewhere and then scoured the WEB looking for complaints about it and found nothing but praise for it.
At first it didn't impress me but after a few more coats (as the instructions suggest) it looked incredible and felt like silk. It's pricey and it's a slow process but it's worth it.

Once you use Zaino Brothers products, you will probably never use anything else. I was a loyal Meguiars product user for about 15 years before I tried Zaino Bros. I'll never go back. It gives a super slick finish and beads water like you've never seen. I highly recommend it.
I have the full tips and tricks sheet for Zaino and am going to be doing my Pontiac Grand AM and my SVT Lighting within the next two weeks. I talked with Sal Zaino on the telephone and he is a very nice guy gave me all the information I could possible need. I ordered Z1 Polish Lok, Z2 for clear coat paint, Z5 Polish for swirl marks & fine scratches, Z6 Ultra Clean "Gloss Enhancer" Spray, and Z7 Show Car Wash (concentrate).
These are exactly the products many from the Viper Club have recommended and I have spoken with many people who highly recommend using it. I will tell you the results I get after doing the Grand AM tommorow and then next week when I do my Black Lighting.
So long for now,
