Some updates, finally got the bottom layer of the glass in. With school and work finding time to work on the truck is becoming harder as time passes.
Everything glassed in
Trying to speed up curing time with a heat gun
Other than that, I have the rings for the 10's cut out. I'll be covering the entire enclosure with fleece as soon as I can. Work has me busy till sunday, so monday is the earliest I can work on it again!

Little update:
Ran into a small bump, when the IDQ v2's were upgraded to v3's the mounting depth changed. In order to combat this, we cut a square out of the glass, than cut a square out of the carpet. With that I gained another .75 mounting depth, than glassed that into the box.
I was also able to finish the top of the box, decided to go with a sealed setup instead of a ported one.
Pictures will come tommorrow, I'll keep you guys posted.

As I promised here are the pictures.
Here's the hump that I had to cut out
Top Portion of the box is coming together nicely
I was also able to build an amp board, reground both my battery and amp ground with 1ga.
Photos of that will be coming along shortly.
Also I plan on running a short 1ga from the battery positive to a fused distribution block. From there two runs of 4ga will be powering my amps.

sorry if this has been touched upon but his is a center console build in what looks to be a scab?? I was looking at making a basic box for a powerful 12 for the center console of my XLT and maybe getting it covered in leather (I know nothing about glassing). how big is the box? its looking really nice so far and i'd love to put together something like that

Actually the box thats being built right now is going underneath the seat. I ended up glassing so I could fit the IDQ 10 V3's in there.
If you wanted to build a center console and glass it I would recommend trying it. It was not difficult for me at all and this was my first time. The only tricky part that I had to do was using the right amount of catalyst.
On further note, my H701 should arrive. . .monday! Will be using the 300.4 to run active. More pictures will come tommorrow, got to write a paper on religion and politics until then.

For Matt:
If you wanted to glass a center console, all you would have to do is:
A) Lay tape down on the center hump/aluminum foil.
B) Measure the height of the armrest.
C) Cut the side / top pieces.
D) Glue the side/top.
E) Place it in place on top of the tape/foil
F) Glass / wait to harden
G) Done!
It may take a few more steps but thats the general break down

Wow, I totally forgot that this thread existed.
Currently the box and everything is setup quite nicely. I was finally able to add in the H701.
Now that I'm going active I'm in a slight bind, don't know if i want to go through the extra work and make a 3way system work. I'll ponder the idea. The digital camera is out of commission but I'll have pictures soon enough.
P.s. anyone know a "buddy" that wants to buy an Arc Audio XXK 4050 for $250?
