Byoon001's Build Thread

Howdy! I guess I'll start one of these suckers as well.

First off sorry about the pictures, I have many more but they were all taken by camera phone and after uploading two and seeing how much they charged me I think I'll go buy some batteries tommorow and take new pictures!

What is coming out is:
SI BM 12''
Rainbow SLC 265's.
Stock rear speakers

What is going in:
(2) IDQ V2 10's
(1) Image Dynamics XS 6.5 Comp Set
(1) Image Dynamics CTX 6x9 CoAx for rearfill

What I hopefully will put in:
Arc Kar 300.4
Arc Kar 1000.1

With all that in mind, we're building a box made of partial mdf and fiberglass. The idea of it all is to have them fire upwards but at an angle so the port is pushing air to the back of the seat. Once I get better pictures I shall upload but until than these will have to do.

P.S. Sorry to steal your idea Styx, but I also plan on cutting out a small window and applying bondo + plexi glass and having a few things etched on there with white lights to highlight!

I can't wait to hear your review of the XS comps. I am thinking about switching to those in the near future but need some reviews. Keep up the work. With that equipment setup and a good install, you should be sounding awesome.

Can I ask why you are getting rid of the BM? Not happy with the performance or sound?

Styx basically laid it out. (2) 10's > (1) 12. Also I listen to a lot of music with kick bass and double bass so I wanted something that could keep up accurately.

Unfortunately we ran out of resin so I was unable to do anymore actual work to the car. BUT! UPS dropped off some goodies that I was able to snap a couple pictures of. On further note ID we changed the V2's to V3's so I am very excited.

Only have a crappy picture of the sub, camera died before I could grab some more.

To make a long story longer, here are the pictures.
XS Tweeter

Midrange

(2) 10'' IDQ V3

Well there you go, I could have taken a picture of rear fill but who wants to see that?
