WeatherTech FloorMats vs FloorLiners

I've had my 2015 SCrew Sport for a few weeks now and am going to get some floor coverage before the bad weather hits us here in NJ. I currently have the standard cloth floormats, which will be threadbare in no time, and was going to go with WeatherTech. That said, I can't decide between the Floor Mats and the FloorLiner.

It's not a work truck, and I don't expect to spill a cup of coffee all over the floor. Combine that with the fact that I like the way the Floor Mats look instead of the FloorLiner, and I'm leaning towards the individual mats. I've seen a lot of you have the liners, and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the mats.

Thanks, and Happy New Year all!

It depends on whether or not you want 100% coverage on your carpet.

I used to have mats in a Civic and every spring had to shampoo out the white salt ring left behind by the winter. Once I changed to the liners all I had to do was power wash the liner.

I had the liners with me when I picked up my 2014 'fitty at the dealership. I wasn't taking any chances!

I've always used the WeatherTech liners in my vehicles. You have full coverage and don't have to worry about salt and mud getting on your carpet. They are definitely worth the money.

I've gone with the liners as well. I prefer the fit and the coverage they offer. Easy clean up.

I had the weathertech liners in my 08 and while the coverage and fit was awesome the hard plastic feel kind of turned me off, the black carpet never gave me any issues in the 3 winters I had the truck before I got the liners. I prefer good old fasion rubber floor mats myself.

the newer husky liners are made of a pliable material. Very comfortable under foot. They have come a long way in design.

I just put a set of the WeatherTech liners in my truck for the winter plow season. I'm quite pleased with them.

Okay, complaint time.

My Weathertech mats do not have any material going up and underneath the accelerator pedal. I now have a hefty pile of rock salt and debris resting on the top edge of the mat, all over the carpet.

Even if it was a thin, unribbed section underneath the pedal, it would have helped.

Ima look into the Husky liners soon.

Maybe just tap your boots off on the running boards? I got into the habit of doing that when I worked on a grounds crew and now I do it out of habit when I get in and out of my truck. Some people probably think "Why the hell is that guy in a suit tapping his dress shoes off on his running boards?"

I've had my weather tech mats in my 2010 FX4 since I bought the truck 6 years ago...I've never looked back. They are definitely worth the money.

Already habit. But there's still salt and stones already built up there. Probably because as I press on the pedal, my shoe's sole flexes and the tread pattern "lets go" of stuff embedded in my shoe.

Oh well.... I'll just RHINOLINER the whole interior! Problem solved!
