What tires are you rocking on your truck?

There's a post on the HP right now about wheel and tire swaps, and it got me wondering what tires everyone is running. Of all the off-road tires I've driven on, I have to say I was blown away by the KO2 from BFG... I went on a test with them in Baja and couldn't believe the performance. Simply unbelievable in all conditions. What are your favorite tires?

My truck came with the 20" wheel package in 2014. I have the Bridgestone Alenza 275/55/20 tires. They handle great, quiet, no shakes, great wet or dry traction, smooth ride, and are wearing like iron. Too bad they quit making them. These tires will probably go to rot before I wear them out. Seems to be a trend with Bridgestone, discontinuing tires. On all of my previous trucks, I replaced the factory originals with Yokohama Geolander AT tires. They quit making those too. Only thing you have to learn about a Yokohama tire is to watch the air pressure requirements of the tire. Some have a max air pressure at 35lbs. I can guarantee you that you'll see your gas mileage drop like a rock. Mine dropped 27% as an example. The next set was a larger tire, had a 44lb max air pressure, and the mileage came back- same truck. Like the Alenza, they were quiet, rode great, handled great wet or dry and wore like iron. Don't think you could ask for more from a tire. No clue what I'll replace the Alenzas with. WE have Discount Tire here and they guys know me and what I want out of a tire. Whatever they come up with will be fine. Hard to beat their warranty. If I don't like the tire they'll swap them out until I'm happy. And if I have any issues with the tires, it's their problem, not mine. Works for me over the last 30 years doing business with them.

I'm currently running Michelin Defender LTX on mine. They ride and handle well, and are quiet. This is a highway all-season tire, which is all I need on a 2wd truck that does not go offroad. Before these, I had BFG Long Trail T/A, same type of tire. I got about 85k out of them.

Stock 255/70r16 on stock wheels.

Swapped out the OEM tires after about 4000 miles on my 2015 and went with the BFG KO2. I have a little over 30,000 one them now and good tread left. They have started to get a little more noise on them but nothing major.

On the f150 I put the toyo on in my sig almost immediately, biggest light duty p rated tire I could find. Work great and quiet. Weigh about stock.

I have bfg at2 on my f250. Look great and brand new so not to to loud. Kinda wish I had went with Michelin AT2 but this truck gets stuck pretty easy.

So I guess these bfg at2 get louder after time?? Guess I need to dynomat the doors, this thing has no insulation it seems.

Super-Crew

The Super-Crew came with a brand new set of
YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER A/T-S 265/55-18R.
They are smooth, quiet and so far I like them.
Not to aggressive or loud.
For me, city and highway driving they're just what I needed.
I just didn't know it........

Those tires blew me away! They ran the entire Baja 1000 without a single flat!

The 265/70/17 Goodyear Fortitudes that are factory installed on my truck are good enough.

My truck came with 275/55/20 Pirelli Scorpion AT/R's We don't really like them however. They seem fine when just driving the truck but when towing I am having a lot of trailer sway. We are looking to go to 275/60/20 BFG KO2's or Nitto Exo Grapplers. Just trying to determine which is best at this point. Reviews are all over the place on both. Does anyone know what the max size is that can go on the truck, or where to find a chart? I would like a larger sidewall the my stock tires for sure.

That looks nice. Maybe Bilsteins on the lowest setting is all that's needed.
