Replacement Tire Recommendations

I have a 2013 F150 XLT Supercrew with 55,000 miles. I'm presently looking for new tires. The original one are okay but am looking for something better. I'd like to stay with the same size. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance for your help.

What size do you have, is it 2wd or 4wd, and do you want a highway all-season tire or an all-terrain?

Michelins are the best IMHO. But, they usually last so long, the rubber gets hard and reduces traction.
That said, the last time I bought Firestone tires for my truck because I wanted an oversize tire for more beach sand flotation and Michelins in that size were E rated and I thought they would ride too hard. I got Firestone C rated and they have performed well, quiet and smooth with about half the tread left. Of course they are wearing out much faster than Michelins.

My 2000 F150 scab xlt 4x4 5.4 came new with Good Year Wranglers. They would have lasted 120,000 miles if the sidewalls had not cracked all the way around the tire. I replaced two of the at about 70k miles and two more around 90k miles. Never had tires last like that before or since or had tires that cracked in the sidewalls like that. One of the first two was actually leaking air the crack was so bad.

And add - What's your price range? - to the list of questions.

Thanks for the responses. It's a 2 wheel drive, V8 and I drive 30% highway and 70% in town. I don't like the white lettering but it's not a game changer.

Since it's 4x2 it's either 235/75x17 or 265/75x18 *Assuming they're currently stock sized.

And since XLT was indicated, they're probably (?) 235/75x17

But who the hell knows

Morning....again guys another brain fart..lol They are 265/60/R18. It's not the size it's the manufacturer I would like recommendations with. These are Michelins. They are fine but I think they may be a better tire. Thanks again.

I would recommend Michelin Defender LTX M/S. That's what I have on mine. I don't think there are any significantly better on-road tires.

I bought the Bridgestone Dueler HL Alenza from Costco and have been really happy with them. They have a black sidewall.

Those Bridgestones cost the same as the Michelins and I don't think they are any better. Both are good tires.

Thanks guys for all the good answers. My wife retired from the local Ford dealership and I may give them a chance to price me some. She still gets her employee discount. I will just have to chose from what they carry. I know these tires are not cheap. Thanks again.

I finally decided on the Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT. I got some prices all over and on the internet. My local Ford dealer beat them all. Thanks for all the help guys.
