Another tire question.

I have been looking for a while and have scanned what seems like 100 pics on here with the setups you have. Im still having a little difficulty making a final decision. Some of the tires i think i like so far are the Toyo At, Hancook At or maybe the Terra Grapps. What i am looking for is something that looks good/sporty and not "all off road or nothing" if I'm making any sense. I drive 99.9% main roads and highway but still want the ability to get through the snow when needed and not have to sacrifice fuel mileage. I am keeping my factory 20's and maybe going with a small level kit. Not decided on that yet either. I know I hate the Scorpions that are on there. I can barely drive the thing in the rain. But i am fine with the look of the tire, they just need a little bigger side wall. So i guess i am looking for some pics with the same factory 20s that i have for ideas and feedback on handling and overall experience with the choice you made. I also like the fact that these dont sling rocks at all. Any help would be appreciated. I was going to wait until next year in the spring to buy new ones but these may not make it and i want to know what i am getting so i can plan ahead a little.

Thanks all

Check out the Cooper ATP from Discount Tires.. I have them and so far they are great.. Closing in on 20k miles on them and i will buy them again. Quiet on the road and do good offroad. We have ice everywhere today and these tires grip and keep on going. Im still at 10/32nd tread at 20k so should easily get 60k out of them.

55k Mile A/T tire for around 160 bucks a pop is hard to beat.. Plus I never hear anything bad about Cooper..

I'm a white letter guy, and Cooper just recently FINALLY made their Discoverer AT/3 tire available in factory size, and put OWL on them! Got 5k on these tires and are by far the BEST tire I have had on a truck. I had put the firestone destination at's on my last ford, but these are better in the snow than those were! And quiet on the road. I absolutely love them and would recommend them to anyone. Same tire as the AT/P from what I understand, with only a slightly different tread pattern.

Attached is a pick of my truck with them on:

I like the look of those. What size did you go with? Factory size? They look slightly bigger.

Nitto Terra Grappler G2! I recently out a set on these on mine - 305/50/20 and I have to say I am a happy camper. And with a great mileage warranty too!

Did you find what you're looking for? I have been searching a while too and after considerable research and speaking to people, I've concluded the Toyo AT2 is my next set of tires. Mine should be coming in on the 6th. I love the aggressive sidewall the overall appearance of the tire but more importantly, I checked several other forums (including diesel forums) and it seems everyone swears by this tire. They claim it is great in all wet/snowy/icy conditions which appeals to me.

Anyway once I get mine i will give a review as it is raining cats n dogs here in arkansas atm. Gl and let us know what you decided to go with.

I haven't decided fully yet but am leaning toward the Cooper brand this time. First time ever. Considering the Zeon LTZ and the Discoverer A/T3. A few on here have these sets and love them but many have the Terra Grapplers or Open Country's. Im not in a hurry but wanted to make a decision so i am not grasping at straws if an emergency pops up and need them quicker than expected.

Yeah they are factory, 275/55/20. I really like them. Much better in snow than the Pirelli's, (not that it takes much), and better than the Firestone Destination AT's I had on my previous Ford. Although the Firestones were nice tires too. just pricey.

I have been really happy with my last set of coopers.theys sre not on my f150 but rather our gmc SUV. But ride great wear good . Not noisy and they look good on a set of chrome 20 inch rims.
