When they take the truck apart, should they find hidden damage they couldn't see when they wrote the estimate , the body shop would contact the insurance and ask for an additional, the insurance co. may come back out and re appraise the damage or ok the additional over the phone, probably would depend on how much and their past history with the shop, either way your covered.

So I was so excited on Friday when I received the call from the shop that the truck will be ready yesterday after 12noon...but I was kind of worry because shop called insurance telling them that the truck was leaning to the side to much that they needed another supplement but insurance denied it because it was on the rear nothing to do with the accident so I remembered that when I lowered the truck it tilted a little from the rear but barley noticeable so I imagine that was the issue....well once I get there my jaw drops this thing was leaning way to much so I asked the guy what type of suspension did yall install bak on the LF side he responds bak same thing wat came off I'm like which was and he says stock I'm like why if I had my truck lowered with a 3/5 belltech drop kit this is the reason why it's leaning this bad so he picks the truck bak up on the lift and comes bak to me and says yea ur right😡. .no duh I was right now I'm upset on the shop I took it to thought I can trust them(what real mechanic will not notice that).. now I have to wait longer to get my baby back 😢

Its hard to find anyone with any common sense left. I'm sorry but anyone who is a professional an in-tune with their job should have noticed this and never put stock suspension back on it. Anything different than a factory look should raise a red flag to anyone that something is not stock.

I agree, shop should have noticed BUT ..... it's also a GREAT IDEA to note any modifications right on the paperwork as the guy in the shop says we need a new LR spring and the guy in the office ordering is looking at paperwork ...... or the guy in the body shop walks into order himself and looks it up using "paperwork".

February 20-22 I believe. I have no idea if they meet up, I hope so. I'm just going with buddies and probably some guys from my truck club in College Station, but supposedly it's a freakin huge event. This will be my first year going. I'm down to try and start an F150online and F150forum meet-up beforehand so we can all roll in together.

I may, just cause I have plenty of places to stay in H-town. But realistically, I'll probably only go for 1 day. I'll talk to some of the guys about it and see about starting a thread.
