Transforming the Blue Jeans Lariat/KR to the FX4 trim

I have always had propensity towards blue on all of my trucks. I really like the Blue Jeans color that
is available on the King Ranch & Lariat models but I don't care for the bling of all the chrome, I like
the FX4 trim but the blue jeans color is not available in the FX4 model. I wanted to see what this would
look like, I put my photoshop skills to work and did some virtual trim painting, swapped out the wheels etc.
This is the result. Original image from Trucktrends.com

I know it's only a photo-chop job but you have the wrong grill, the standard FX4 grill is the black 2 bar double c clamp like the STX has. The one in your pic is only on the tremor and the 14 FX appearance pack.

Wow!! That looks pretty freaking awesome. If Ford were to offer this package, I would be in for sure. I love the King Ranch (obviously) but I also like the trim on the FX models. Combining the two, as you have, looks sick! Not just in blue jeans, but any color. They have already taken one step by offering the King Ranch in monochromatic, and I bit.

I don't think he intended for it to be the new FX4 grill. I think he was just de-chroming the one from the original picture on the King Ranch model. Other than the wheel swap, thats all he mentioned was getting rid of the bling.

I do think thats a great color and I am partial to the FX4 trims.

Wow that looks good. Personally I like the 3 bar grille a lot better than the fx4. Once I have some extra coin laying around I'll be buying one for ptm on my tuxedo fx4.

I agree. I think it would look good like that on my Blue Flame FX4 as well.

Make that three. I actually want to paint the 3 bars blue flame while leaving the background black. I made a thread a few days ago asking if anyone knew the part # of the black 3 bar grill.

He may have liked that grill better, and swapped it in. They're available now, or will be very soon. He also took the KR badge out if we're being picky lol

As for the pic, yes, yes, and yes. That looks killer. Very good photoshop

Speakin' of all this blue truck PTM business, it's Rick's help with Photoshop that persuaded me to go ahead and take the plunge. Boy o' boy am I glad I did it!

Again, thankee a bunch, Rick!

Hey dewser, here is a side shot of my 13 with the anthracite 20's. Just photoshop it in a dark blue to get an idea of how it will look.

This is a better pic

I'd buy it! I wanted the Blue Jeans too but at the time I could only find XLTs and Lariats which neither was what I wanted.

Maybe Ford will see this and think.....hmmmmmmm!
