Console and radio Trim

I'm not sure if it's just me but on the fx2 trucks the shiny weird looking console trim is very cheesy looking.

Have any of you guys pulled the trim off and done anything to make it look better. I was looking it thinking you could rough it up and match it with something else in the interior. Might be able to get it screen printed with carbon or something. Stock it doesn't look nearly as good as it could. I actually would much rather have a wood grain trim then the funky finish they have!

Anyone have pictures of changes to make this piece look better?

All the trucks i've looked at have this style of trim. It's not pleasant to look at to say the least.

That sucks as i'm looking at a couple different fx2 trucks and they all have the nasty confused looking trim.

Did you make the body color one you posted or is it a kit for a radio install? If its a kit which one?

It looks better than the fake wood trim to me. But that is just my opinion.

Are the pictures you posted all of the same truck? Maybe the nav set up swaps out easy or something.

I have been. Was considering a carbon but everyone seems to have carbon trim so it kind of looses its appeal. They offer alot of nice options.

All the same truck, the radio faceplate is aftermarket, the piece under that and the console trim is stock, I still have to do the door panel inserts
