How much off MSRP did you get and how?

So just out of curiosity, how much off MSRP did you get off your late model F150 when bought new? After testing and weighing options, I finally decided to purchase a new F150 Crewcab Ecoboost truck for my personal daily driver but I've never purchased a brand new vehicle, always bought a few years used due to depreciation.

So educating myself on the new car purchase experiance before I actually start looking, already got the financials all set up. I do get the Z plan through Ford which will help quite a bit I know. Truck I am looking for is pretty specific though and I may end up ordering a 2013 built from the factory although to best of my knowledge, there isn't any incentives for 2013 yet. Any idea when they generally come out?

What deal did you get and how ( not counting trade ins as obviously that will change for everybody) ?

I would guess that thin incentives for the 2013s will be 2-3k lower than the 2012's when they come out.

I just bought a new 2012 F150 XLT Supercrew 4x4 5.0 for $29k, which is almost $10k off sticker and add-ons. Could have saved another $3k by financing through Ford and having a trade in. I saw an as from Blue Bonnet Ford here in San Antonio, and they advertised having 7 at the current sale price. I called, and they had three left. I had already test driven one that another dealer wanted $6 k more for, which was the KBB great price on their website, and was close to pulling the trigger, but the dealer didn't have any color other than that ugly brown. So he needed time to hunt one down in blue. When the guy at Blue Bonnet said he had one in blue, I told him to get it ready, I would be by after work to pick it up. He did tell me that the trucks all had a pinstripe, bedliner, alarm, and tint added.

I was then expecting him to add a few thousand to the price. He said it added up to another $900. These are all things I would have added anyway, at the same our more cost, so I bought the truck.

I was in and out in under an hour. Check out their ad online under specials. They can ready do what they say.

Ask for Marty. He's straight forward and a nice guy.

Sticker - $38,420
Dealer Add On's - $900
Total Price - $39,320

Advertised Price in paper - $29,900
Price I paid - $30,800

Z-plan pricing is right around dealer invoice or slightly higher. So - you can figure the invoice price and subtract all applicable incentives/rebates and get a number that will be pretty close.

If you want to know exactly what the invoice price is (most of the time, dealers aren't very cooperative about giving that number up), go to the Ford website and build a vehicle using any zip code for the state of Virginia.

I purchased my 2009 XLT 5.4L and got 9K off MSRP and my brother just went to the dealer 2 weeks ago and got 10K off a 2012 STX 5.0L 4x4. I think part of the deal was he had to finance through Ford Credit.. The rate was higher than his bank, so he is re-financing it through his bank for the better rate.. IMO that's a PIA, but it gave him about 1K more off truck.

My Supercab FX4 had a sticker bottom line of $43,166 or so. X-plan took that down to I think about $40,500 and all told there were $5000 in incentives so about $35,500.

I bought my '05 on 12/31/05. They were wanting to get rid of it, and there were great rebates on '05s at the time.

The sticker was right at $36k and I paid $24k. Best deal I've ever gotten.

The dealership I've been looking at offers $5,250 off as their standard discount. Plus incentives, it would be $9,250 off MSRP for a 5.0 FX4.

9k off on my '11 Lariat. Maybe could have squeezed a little more off on a XLT but I had to buy a truck the same day I got rid of my '04.
