Agreed, deposits are refundable. If you wait till the end of the month, $200-$300 over invoice should be easy. Make them give you a copy of the invoice. The invoice price you find on the web doesn't usually include the fuel and advertising fees.

Agree if it is on the lot, but not sure the end of the month plays into an order for a 2013. Would be nice to get clear on that.

Invoice difference is what you point out. On mine, the web and Costco invoice said 47,319. Had a dealer tell me he would give me $700 below invoice. I was getting ready to drive down when he said that would be 47,400 "or so, which became 47,500 then 47,600. I made him go line by line and all the numbers added up, except the total. After going back and forth for 10 minutes he found the advertising and fuel fees $785 and $134. I already had a different dealer offer a firm price of 47,100 so said goodbye to number 1.

I've been trying to figure out what I could get into a '12 for. My mother works for a ford dealer so I usually get deals with that, but the big thing for me is probably going to be the trade in. KBB says the trade in for my '05 ranger with 60,000 in about 8k. How close is that number to what the dealer will probably give?

Out of curiosity, how exactly do you get these Plan A, Z, X, etc? I bought my 2008 new in July of 2008. Sticker was 29, I got it for about 20. Financed through FMC. I owe 6 left on the truck. Truck is lifted, tires, rims, so I know that doesn't help my trade in value, but I'm hoping that I can get at least 15 from Ford. Pay off the 6 and have 9 to take off the new truck.

I'm about to go look at a new one this week and would love to get into a 2012 FX4. Assuming I could get them down to dealer invoice price, and then incentives, plus my trade in (which would hopefully be about 9k), does anybody have any idea of an average price I should be trying to shoot for from them?

Huge thanks in advance. I'm 23 and this will be my second new F150. Dad and brother both have 2010, and 2011 F150s and I know sometimes they do a family incentive. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

My FX2 stickered for $39,600 and I got $10k off. Their pitch was "internet price plus FMC financing to get the 10k off. I also added a 7ry/100k warranty.
After my trade in got the truck for $29,7ish.

If you think you want to use X-plan, buy 100 shares of Ford stock. Once you have had it for 6 months, you qualify for one X-plan pin a year.

MSRP was 43 for my lariat.
recently wrecked my truck so the salesperson brought me a few to my house to try out. i called the GMC dealership that i had my old truck with, and it took them a month to get back to me and wouldnt give me a price unless i went test drive.
on the ride back to the dealership i talked them into taking about 3k off the price, then internet said 10k in rebates for their dealership. i told them i wasnt buying unless they took off the 10k PLUS the 3k we talked about... then i had 12k to put down since my trade in was totalled

I think we just get better deals in Texas, I never had an issue getting $10,000 to $12,000 of MSRP on a truck. (Talking a $40,000 and up model) Even my wife's Edge was $7,500 off without me even having to haggle..

OK so my brother went in and found a 2012 crew cab Eco 4x4 platinum for $52,800.
so he offered the dealer 35,500 dealer pays tax and lic and throw in a bed liner. dealer said $37500 and no liner thats $15k off most of its rebates i would bet. but to have the cash to just go plop down $35500 like a rock star.
