More info from last week (not the news coming this week) ...

Im glad you highlighted the word standard in that post, and hopefully people wont freak out, *oh the hid's wont be on X, Y, or Z!", because Im sure the HID's will be OPTIONAL *or maybe part of the Luxury Package or something like that* on the FX trucks. If not, then there is always Tasca to order the light assemblies and the rest of the parts needed.

Thanks for the link Rambo.

Good, that means there will be a lot more of them out there for us folks that want to retroft them. Dibs on the first set from a truck that gets totaled!!!

Either that or get them from Tasca, Wookie. They may have a decent price on them. You might be waiting a while for a totalled truck haha.

Also, is it just me, or did they take the current Platinum grill look, and say hey, this would look good as a 3 bar design for the 2013 Lariats? I like the grill either way. I just found it sort of amusing when I looked closer at the grill.

^^^ This guy's old man runs a salvage yard. I might be able to get a pretty good price on them that way. If not I'll check out Tasca.

Having the HID's standard is great, and solves one of the two major complaints I had with the truck. Now I wonder if the sad HVAC system and the sometimes awkward trans have been ironed out.

The transmission is a carryover, so unless they reflashed the transmission, I doubt anything has changed. Maybe we will find out when the new info comes out this week.

well, Im guessing that means either Thursday or Friday at the latest for the new info. Im excited to see what else we get to learn about the 2013's.

Dont feel too bad Northern, you can get the headlights, just not right away most likely. Im sure they will fit the 09-12 models. Im also pretty sure there will be a big jump in orders for the older trucks, Im hoping the prices wont be too high. We will just have to wait and see wont we?

If they don't have a cabin air filter, they are just dumb. There better be one

Im sure the new trucks will have them, they didnt make any deep changes mechanically *hids, tow mirrors, nav stuff not withstanding*. I dont see a reason that Ford would pull the air filter, but then again, manufacturers can do crazy things sometimes huh?

I can't really tell from the pics but according to the article this 2013 FX4 seems to be sporting projector headlamps?! Probably on the lux package or something as mentioned above since it is not standard... Judging from the other pics above of the standard trim model Projectors and the size of the amber side marker on the FX4 pictured, i'd say they probably are the real deal and done up in black too!

Looks good. the more I see that style grille the less I like it. I just can't get on board with those 'C' clamps on either side and the thick bars.
