We are adults here so you don't have to say verbatim that you think your 5.0 is superior. You own the same year truck with a different engine, you are arguing against the EB and you even came up with a cute nickname for EB owners that implies we are crazy. Writings on the wall.

Once again not verbatim, but pretty close on the cummins comment. Discussion was about turbos and the added cost of labor. Check it out, I quoted you when I asked you the question. If that's not what you meant, please explain what you did mean as I am still not privy to a cummins owners brain.

Labor charges go along with turbo rebuilds, unless you do your own work. which i have already said, most here don't.
What is your basis for saying most people do not do their own work? Just look at how many different write-ups there are just for changing the plugs on the 5.4 3V. Look at how many threads there are on people installing lift kits in their driveways. I'd say a good number of people on here do their own work if they think they can. With a good write-up or shop manual most people can make the determination if they have the skills needed. Changing a turbo out or rebuilding one looks to be much easier than changing the plugs on a 5.4 3V. The biggest foreseeable problem will be breaking fasteners that have become brittle do to heat cycles. Furthermore, unless the turbo was manufactured wrong from the factory it should last a long time. This means the work will more likely be done at a smaller independent shop rather than a dealership. This lends to lower labor rates.

You can keep crashing every EB thread on the internet and spouting off vague, baseless assumptions if that is what makes you happy. You can continue to play the passive-aggressive games and use the same thinly veiled insults that really do not make sense. (Come on WTF does Cummins crowd mean anyway?) The fact remains that most people on here are not buying the crap you’re selling. We all get it you bought a truck with a different motor in it, so what no one on here cares! Why you see the need to come in every thread and vindicate yourself is beyond me. It is getting old. Go troll on a Toyota board.

Why is everyone so serious? I never understood why people get so bent about the internet or about people's opinions, and what they purchased with THEIR money.

Save your .02 and put it toward an ECO.
This is hilarious.
5.4s chucked plugs and then plugs would snap off after fords fix. Why don't the anti forced induction crowd hang out with the lightning guys and tell them how much better the NA motors are because they don't have extra parts.
If I had a 4.6 I could lecture a 5.0 guy about reliability.
Windsor 5.0 could preach to the 4.6 guys.
FE, Y block, where do we stop?
Everyone should go back to the flathead.
Remember the early lightnings had stronger internals than the later ones.
I would think Ford over built the first Ecos and will dial back the build cost once the engines have real world data coming back.

I really am curious what the cummins statement is all about. I've seen him post that in more than one thread.

Ntrimm got a new truck? I wish he told us! That's just like him, keeping it all to himself. I sure hope it's not one of those new fangled thingies.

I just bought a new coffee grinder. My old one worked, but it was loud and the grind was inconsistent. This one is much quieter and gives a very consistent grind. Plus it is fast and has a hopper. Really it is better in every way. I was a little worried though because it is made in Italy and has a new type of grinding mechanism. I really hope it doesn't break down cause you know, parts would be expensive and hard to get. Then there is the labor. Those Italian coffee grinder repair guys don't come cheap. Maybe I could work on it myself though. It was very expensive (for a grinder) and I think I got completely hosed on my trade in. But I love it anyway. Do you think I should buy the ESP for it?
