still looking good!

I saw in another thread you mentioned the MPG's weren't treating you so well with the larger wheel/tire setup, is it safe to say 1-2 mpgs loss or are you seeing more?

I talked to a local guy who just put 35's on his and he said it felt like it lost a lot of power and he can't get over 11.5 mpgs even when driving as easy as possible. He was not happy to hear I can pull 12-14 with 38's and 4.88 gears when doing 60-65 on the highway

Hey FX4life! Yeah, definitely dropped at least 1.4 mpg on average. My highway mileage was not helping my average either since I was driving 75-85 mph on my recent road trip. My average went from 14.3 mpg to 12.9 mpg in mosty City driving with my driving habits (semi-easy with occassional fun).

Initially, I experienced a noticeable loss of power during take offs with the wide 33.4 inch tall tires. But I had my dealer recalibrate my PCM and the power now feels back to normal.

You are definitely getting some decent mileage with your setup at those speeds. I suspect that I'll average around 16-17 mpg Highway at those speeds once the truck is broken in more. However, our speed limit is 75 mph and just staying with traffic is closer to 80 mph so I doubt I'll see more than 14-15 mpg on the open road with my setup which is only 1-2 mpg better than my lifted 5.4L with 35s.

Hello Sir!

Beautiful Truck! I just purchased a 2011 F150 Crew 4x4 and I'm looking give my truck the same look. I do have a few questions about your setup.......

I looked online for the Daystar 2.5 front leveling kit for the 2011 S-CREW 4x4 and I can't find it anywhere. Where did you order your kit? Also, because the Daystar kits are made from Poly, are you worried about the kit wearing down or losing height over time?

I am looking at running an All-Terrain Tire (BFG, Toyo, or Nitto) with a 17 inch wheel, probably a 305/70/17 for the tires. Do you think that would work?

Where did you find your center-console? Were you able to easily remove your center seat and the XLT stack? I love the new look, the XLT stack gets pretty uncomfortable at times.

Last question, what kind on running bars/board do you have. Brand/Company, and do you like them?

Again, I love your setup, and I look to mirror it as much as I can, all the help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Looks nice, I bet the Ecoboost is a nice upgrade. I liked your FX4 more though, that truck was just sexy.

Hi OldSkoolMC....I am finishing the lights this weekend. I am doing the same hookup as my '09 FX4 in that I am drilling holes at each light tab and then fishing the wiring through the lightbar to each light. I then run all the wires down inside a common loom secured along one of the mounting brackets into the front of the engine bay so that you do not see any exposed wiring. Takes a little time but looks really clean and keeps the wiring fairly protected.
