Desert Dawg's EcoBoost Mod Pics (to date)....
Westpoint, I had a Leer 100XQ on my Dodge Cummins...loved it too. I went with the SnugTop this time since they have a really sporty looking topper in the XTR that I thought looked great on the new F150s, so very anxious to see how it works with my truck. The new styled toppers that integrate with the truck lines look great IMO. I had an ARE topper on my King Ranch and it looked great as well.
Hey there Double "D"... I hope you don't mind the liberty with your screen name. My apologies if you do.
I have the ECO as well, and love your light bar. I installed a billet grill in the opening for the intercooler. I just could not stand it being open like that. Will the light bar fit with a grill in place? I can not tell where the light bar mounts by your pics
BEAUTIFUL TRUCK!! Koodo's

Hey there tlfrancis...no worries; been called a lot worse!

Thanks for the compliment. The lightbar mounts through the the exposed brackets on either side of the lower grille opening. I don't have a really good pic to show you, but I included a pic of my '09 FX4 with the same lightbar. The front license plate holder is in the way, but if you look closely you can see that the lightbar brackets extend into the lower grille opening and have a mounting flange that is 90 degrees to the brackets; two mounting bolts are installed through the mounting flange that sits flush on the exposed brackets that have large predrilled holes for the bolts to pass through.

Anyway, I believe the lower billet grille attaches to the side of the lower grille opening (?). You would have to cut your new billet grille just enough for the light bar brackets to pass through but then not sure if you have anything left to mount your billet grille too.
I ordered my Stubbie antenna from Craven Speed.
Hope that helps!
Great...looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
First, I really, really thought I was going to buy the Raptor so wanted to sell my FX4 (which sold faster than I anticipated and gave me more time to think about things....lol). But after looking into the Raptor's real world mileage (since I would be commuting in stop/go traffic everyday), I decided that was not what I needed (really wanted maybe but not needed). And even though I can afford it, I wasn't about to have a +$50K truck just sit in my garage for the occassional weekend romp.
Secondly, I was getting a little tired of the lifted truck with poor mileage and sluggish performance (relatively speaking to the new engines). So I decided I wanted something more usable/economical for commmuting and everyday family/business use, as well as more fun to drive. So after I drove the EcoBoost, I decided to go that route and really glad I did. The 2011 is so much nicer to drive and the Eco really makes it fun too.
Thanks tdizzle.....and oh yeah, if they come up with a high performance EcoBoost for the Raptor you know I'll be over it!
Thanks 97f150f/s!
