Free Sirius Radio 8/30-9/12, 2011

Sirius is offering another free trial period for those interested.

I'll listen for free, but not if I gotta pay..............

I couldn't live without Sirius! The FM around me is terrible and VERY limited in selection and reach. I have four subscriptions and want to say I pay about 200 a year for them. We have been with Sirius from the start though.. I should have opted for the one time payment 600 buck lifetime membership back when they offered it

Maybe it's just the receiver that comes with the stock radio, but I think the sound sucks. It sounds very tinny and speech sounds digitally compressed.

Ya I noticed it was back on yesterday..I was hoping it was a glitch and it they would just overlook it. Its only been 2 weeks since mine got shut off and it made me realize how much I've missed it. Gotta find a better deal than $154/year I refuse to pay that!

No wonder I gave it up. The free stations are garbage.

Pro tip: Check your email, $25 for 6 months is the last offer I was emailed.

But beware they will automatically charge you for a full year at full price at the end of the 6 months if you don't shut it off.

I would rather spend the money on more music, and play through SYNC. Forget SIRIUS Radio. Such a rip off.

I quit Sirius recently and last week got a letter for $25 + tax= $26.79 for 5 months. They'll cancel after that period rather than stick me for the automatic renewal for $43 for 3 months which is too much. IMO

You can tell them from the start not to renew your subscription or you won't sign up for the 5 month deal and they will do it. I've done it twice so far, my last five month subscription just ended and I already got another letter for the same deal, which would be my third time getting 5 months for $26. lol, I guess they dont keep track when giving you the 5 month deal. That said I use my usb more than everything else.

i had sirius in my last truck. for ease of payment i elected to have an auto deduction from my amex. when i deciced to terminate the service i notified them by phone, they said it needed to be in writing which i then did. a month went by with the sirius still on. i contacted amex and told them to stop the auto pay. then, a couple months later i get a notice from a collections company saying i owe them. i call collections and they say there is nothing they can do. i call sirius and they say that once it goes to collection it is out of their hands. i ended up having to make many calls and write letters. finally sirius conceded that they would drop the collection. this was ridiculous. how can they say i missed payments when i notified them to cancel and the payment was auto pay in advance for the month. i have the free sirius in my truck now with the weather and gas price/location features which is nice to have but i will not renew when it is done. this company customer service sucks big time. they sent me to collection before even sending me a late notice.
