upper radiator hose on ecoboost problem

was looking around under the hood of my new 2011 ecoboost and noticed that the upper radiator hose is up against a plastic electrical connector. it is a typical square connector that has a point of it pressing up against the hose. once the hose gets hot and there is some chaffing going on it might not be a good thing. they did put some of that chinese finger handcuff material around the hose but i dont think that will help much. i assume mine is the same as all the rest so it might be worth a look.

Go to the dealer and check out the others. Otherwise wrap it in more chinese finger torture

Get a old hose and cut a section and slice it open and wrap that piece of hose where it touches and zip tie it

It's the first year for the EcoBoost in a truck but the Taurus and one of the Lincoln cars has had it for a few years.

The f150 EB motor is a similar motor to the other EB family, however it is a totally different casting. Block/heads/cam/engine management are all unique...

I would hope that most of the issues have been worked out/learned from in the car versions of the motor.
