Raptor e-locker in 2hi mod on e-locking rear diff trucks
i would like to know the answer to your question as well. i figured out how to modify my switch, so i can in fact pull my **** out while in 2wd.... all i need now is a different tccm. however, if i can get a 70.00 part and get the same results, thats the way i will go!!! it certainly beats 200 !
Matt, you should show how you were able to retrofit the switch to pull out in 2hi for the people who are interested in this mod. Obviously you wont have a locker indicator on the switch but it will save them a few bucks, and like you said, if you can get a 2012 f150 tccm to work that would save even more, then with one from a raptor.

Ok, so I am going to add more confusion to this. I work at a Ford Dealer in parts. One of the salesmen here has a 2011 Raptor and I have a 2011 FX4. According to catalog with his Raptor VIN#, the correct TCCM parts number is BL3Z*7E453*D. The other TCCM# that has been discussed is the AL3Z*7E453*DC which is the number for a 2009 or 2010. So, should the people with 2011's maybe buy the BL3Z-D???? Tasca, whats your opinion on this???
i think modifying the switch will be similar to moding the 02 headlight switch to pull out for the fog lights to come on with parking lights. it is just a plastic ramp that only allows the switch to pull once in 4wd. My question is which tcm do i need now a raptor or 2012 if i have an 09 fx4.
What I have found out so far is that the TCCM has nothing to do with gear ratio. What it corresponds with is the body control module. We are still trying to figure out if changing the TCCM has any effect on the body control module. Also, I drove a 2012 F-150 which, all 2012 4X4's have the E-Locker in them that works in 2h mode. When I pulled the switch back and activated it. The truck ran up to 30mph then it kicked out until i slowed down to about 15-20mph then it kicked back in. So, since the 2012's have this feature already in it, maybe anyone with a 2011 truck should buy the 2012 TCCM since the Raptor TCCM has more "bells and whistles" to it that could cause future conflict??
With my tccm the locker kicks off at 19mph and up. Then re-engages under 19, the locker part on the switch blinks when it disengaged on its own. I haven't had any issues with my truck acting funny or anything, but I would be curious to what else it affects, if anything.
Just want to add my experience to this thread. I ordered up the AL3Z-14B166-BA swtich (after screwing up and ordering the one that works only with the 1 speed transfer case or AWD) and the Raptor AL3Z-7E453-DC (TM-233). I was not able to make these work on my 11 FX4. No bent pins or anything unusual found. I am now running the new switch but had to return to the stock module to have the ability to use my four wheel drive.
So, the TM-233 does not work with all 11's. What's the part number for a 2012? Is the part number listed in another post the correct one for the 2012? I think I'm going to order one up and give that a try.

Summary. Which TCCM to allow 2WD ELD in F150 (as I understand it):
- 2009/2010: Use AL3Z-7E453-DC (TM-233)
- 2011: Use BL3Z7E453D (TM-239)
- 2012: Use CL3Z7E453CA (TM-242) [Stock F150 TCCM which allows 2WD ELD. This TCCM might also work on 2011's, but as far as I know, nobody has tested it yet).

It's cool. Someone on the 4th page of this thread said they had sucess or so I thought with this set up on a 11. I only posted to offer info in case someone else was reading the pages and saw "ok it works on a 11" and ordered up parts that don't work.
The money spent isn't enough to stress me out or even make me think about it. I just played the divorce game, this stuff is pocket change in comparison.

Yup. On the other forum, a member installed the 2012 non-Raptor TCCM (CL3Z-7E453-CD, TM-261) on his 2011 (with the correct switch, AL3Z-14B166-BA) and it evidently worked perfectly.
Here is the thread. Jump ahead to post #518.
The best part about this news is the price of the TCCM is much less than the Raptor TCCM. List, ~$71 instead of ~$200 for the Raptor TCCM. Even less with sellers who discount Ford parts. He evidently paid $41 for the TCCM and $15 for the switch. An awesome mod for $60!
