Doh: Thanks for the insight from the other side. I am very anxious for mine but know that the wait will be well worth it. I am getting the truck of my dreams in the 2011 KR ecoboost and it will be my truck for a long time...so if they need an extra bit to ensure all the kinks are out, i'll wait.
Have the started to release any trucks from there yet and fixed the mystery glitch? Also is it just affecting the Ecoboosts or a certain trim?

Well thanks again and i'll just keep on day dreaming at the pictures on the internet..lol

Is it just me or does it seem like the majority of F150 issues seem to come from the DB plant? Do they have different suppliers than the other plants or is it just a fluke?

Good question. Kanas City seems to be Wide Open, so I believe it must be something i.e. Robot, torque gun, missed bolt. Messed up on the line.

I feel for everyone who is waiting, but they really are worth the wait.

What I know is, They have found some glitch, only from Dearborn plant, but Ford has been very "Hush Hush" about it. Nobody knows what it is, Nobody knows a viable explaination for it, to pass onto thier customers.

Re Realeased means that it has been fixed, but they still are not shipping. Feb 27, mine was "Re Released" and still sitting in Dearborn.

Ford did not build the original "Sold Orders" due to the Fiesta launch, "Seat Back Problem" that held "Sold Orders in port through out the Country."

They didn't want the launch of the F 150 to go through that.

I may loose my job over this, but the "2011 F 150" is well worth the wait, I have to say. We recieved our first "Stock" Eco Boost's last week and they have put "Smile's" on every Customer's face, which have driven them!

I hope this may shed some light on your wait, I know what you are going through, with little answers from your salesmen/women. But we know as little as you. But are looking into it daily for answers.
The Sales Manager from my dealership called me today and told me basically the same thing "a bottleneck at the plant" was how he put it. The wait is killing me. Especially when THEY say "we can't even give you a guess on when it will be shipped, because we don't know" I hope it is worth the wait.

My Truck traveled to Milwaukee today. Kind of a round about way to get to St Paul. Dearborn to Chicago to Spaulding now back up to Milwaukee. Now the dealer says it's stuck there. Something about the train tracks are under water! The wait continues.

It seems to me that I'm not hearing of any lay-offs or anything at the Dearborn plant. Would it be safe to guess they are still building trucks? If so that could lead to a glut in the market when they get this issue figured out.

A glut could be a good thing for us, if the incentives go way up before they deliver the truck we all benefit from the lower prices. Still the waiting really is no fun!

The incentives are part of my frustration....right now there is $4500 in rebates on the truck I'm waiting on.....I just emailed the dealer, asking them if they could guarantee me those incentives since it appears the truck won't make it here before the end of March.

My understanding is the incentives always go up not down, so worse case scenario is you will pay the same, best case you pay less.

If that's the case, then maybe I can work it so they don't deliver the truck for about a year.....then maybe they will have to PAY ME for taking it!

Just kidding.....had to add a little humor, otherwise the situation is just too maddening.

You may not have to ask them. It may be on ramp 59 that long anyways. I'm seriously thinking about canceling and just buying the lease out on the one I have. Buyers remorse before I ever got the truck. Way to go Ford for keeping your customers in the dark.

That or you could re-order one with the spray on bed liner I think those all come though KC for some reason.
