So I have been playing with mod ideas for the Raptor. I am back to thinking silver because I can play off the dark trim and bumpers with some BMF SOTAs to tie into the silver too. But I was also looking at some easier paint mods to do instead of repainting the whole truck so I did this quick and dirty photoshop where I borrowed from my two tone FX4s. What do you think? You have to visualize this with Perch 2 setting to raise the front, 18 inch SOTAs with 35-inch KM2s or Nitto Trail Terrains, and a XTR topper with roof rack because my photoshop skills are not advanced enough to put all that together. I would also remove the side steps.

Edit: I would "paint" the hood graphic, bumpers, and flares the same dark shadow grey to match the lower panels.

Oh nevernind.....I went back and looked at more Raptor pics from different angles; seems to look good at this angle but decided that this wouldn't look as good from the side or rear quarter angle with the ulta wide flares. So probably not a good idea.

I don't think its terrible, and I am normally cringe at two-tone paint like it was the plague. I also hated the silver on regular F150's, but silver on a raptor seems to completely change that color and I love it on a raptor! I really cannot wait to see a race red raptor, the curiosity is killing me of how that color will play out on a raptor. I really love the black on a supercrew ratpor, and would own it in a heartbeat; but the thought of caring for black paint, the dust around here, and the heat around here bring me back to things like silver, white, red or blue :o

Yeah, the more I look at that scheme the less I like it. The two tones on the FX4s look good IMHO but not pulling it off here. I probably need to have my brother who is a computer photoshop whiz (check out his site for fun at http://www.creativeschism.com/Artwork.html under Surreal Art) do a complete mock up for me as I have other ideas for some custom painting.

I love the black but not up in the high desert...too much wind and blowing dust to keep clean.

And yeah. really wanting to see how that race red is going to look too.

Saw a silver ingot scab today. special ordered for a sanderson customer. It was awesome and in my mind a real Raptor as it was Baja designed/tested. I wouldn't change a thing except wish it had an EB in it. I think th Scab could easily rock it

The first time I saw a silver scab my jaw hit the floor how good silver looked on a raptor I can't wait to see a race red scab, I already have a pretty good idea what a race red screw looks like
