This is something I always wished I had the guts to do. If I break the mirror then I'm out the couple hundred dollars for a new one. If I bust the roof them I'm really up a creek though, so I've always stayed clear.

I love the look. Not sure if I like the 13-8-8-8-13 or 11-11-11-11-11 better and now that I see the lights turned off I almost wish they were a little lower profile.

But it looks awesome. Nice work.

Thanks, I wasn't sure which i liked better either so I put them up on the roof in both configurations about 10 times each and got opinions from the wife, neighbors and buddies and finally decided to go the route I did.

@blueovalboy-The hole size is 7/16. Its a big hole but you need it to fit the light connections through. It has a rubber gasket under the lights but I siliconed the hell out of it so it wont leak!

@lugger007-The headliner removal is pretty easy. I thought of doing a write up but was to lazy. Basically you remove the sun visors with 3 screws and unplug the light if you have one. Then pull the dome lights out literally and un plug them. Remove the pillars my pulling the drivers and unbolting the passengers. I have a sunroof so it made it easy to sit on the console and see through the headliner for the wiring. I hooked the light up to the purple/white wire on the headlight switch but when I leave it on Auto the cab lights stay on so I need to find another wire. Anyone???

I love the lights and would recommend them. Installation is easy and the kit comes complete! The only cons are there not as bright as I thought they would be but could be due to the dark lens. But they look good!
r8rone: were you able to figure out the wiring issue you mentioned above. I'm thinking about installing mine tomorrow if does not snow to much as I was hoping to know which wires to connect to. Thanks
Brian

Brian- No not yet. I tried to check the wires but my tester was to big for the wire connections. I havent had time to go back in and check but if you find it out please let us know! Also I grounded mine using the same screw that holds the visor on the drivers side closest to the mirror if that helps. Good luck and post pics!!

I WILL do this. I bought my 2010 company truck after I was laid off. FINALLY, I can fix up a truck without putting on all the high mileage. Now I just wonder if I want to wait to get an EcoBoost. I have a bunch of LED lights I was going to put only last F-350, but didn't. Maybe an F-150 project with the cab lights.

Due to my new injury (severe concussion) I won't be installing my running lights soon but was bored today, being forced to sit and do nothing. Below are pics w/lights placed on roof to get a rough idea of look.

Opinions please
