let the mods begin!!! 2010 FX2

This will be my official mod thread for my 2010 F-150 FX2. I will make a new post every time i do a mod to my truck and include pics. I figure this might help people who are contemplating doing a mod but not sure what it might look like.

so lets begin. i purchased the truck brand new about 5 months ago. here she is in bone stock trim with tint only.

then i put some rhino liner in the bed, removed my FX2 sticker and removed the badges that did not have holes behind them, and replaced my stock door speakers with alpines.

next step was to remove the running boards and flip the tires to black wall out.

Yesterday i had the belltech 3/5 drop put on. this consists of the 3" lowering struts in the front and the flip kit with the street performance shocks in the rear. i have owned several different lowered trucks with several different kits and i have to say the is the absolute best kit i have ever seen. it went on with ease, rides and drive like stock only better (no more body roll), aligned back to factory specs, and looks perfect IMO.

my next mods will be limo tint on top of the tint that is already on, exhaust, subs and amp, billet grills, new paint matched/black emblems, and a nice set of 22s to stuff in the wheels wells. check back when youre bored and see whats been done. comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Looking good! I'm interested to see it with 22's as I have very similar plans for my 2011, if Ford will ever build them...

it made a world of difference. i had the base stereo, not the sony, and it sounded terrible. with the alpines i am getting a much clearer sound and i actually have a little bit of base now. it definitely needs a sub too but the alpines are enough to get me by for a little while. the alpines could use a little more power too them for loudness as i am using the stock head unit but i plan on running an amp to them once i get my sub and its amp.

good deal on the speakers. i was a little hesitant, because all i want is a little more right now and i wasnt sure if upgrading the speakers themselves were going to do it. i just ordered 4 5x7 infinity Kappa's (im an infinity sucker) so im looking forward to getting those in.

what was the process for removing the door panels? did you document it at all?

those should sound much better than stock. i had an audio place behind my work put mine in for $40. im no good with electronics and door panels can be a pain.

Keeping an eye on this! Its such a tough decision on the lower or level (lift) for me. I really dont wanna lose ground clearance but handling is better and better mpg since if i level i will need to put some bigger tires for a better look! They both look good!

Black emblems

I have a 07 FX2 sport and i would like to black out my rims. I have heard that the emblems come off the dental floss but the front grill emblem looks like it is bolted on could you give me some help on how to black that out as well as all my other emblems.

I like everything except removing the running boards. I think the running boards on the FX2 brings it out b/c there different from the other models. Now that you removed the stickers, etc. lets see what it looks like with the running boards back on
