I am reading and reading trying to figure out what this button is or does. It has a truck on it with lines coming out of tires like it is slipping. I can't find a reference to it anywhere in the manual.

I have 4x4 and a 3.55 LS axel. Is this to turn on/off LS or something? Or is this some other kind of feature for traction?

WHen i push it it lights up a picture of the same thing on my instrument cluster.

HELP a NOOB out please!

Time to go back to the store. You must have ran out before you reached page 275...

One push turns off half the system and holding it for 5 seconds turns off the entire system.

The store was all fine and dandy during the sale but when I came to take delivery they were appparently too busy to spend any time with me.

I checked page 275 from the manual i downloaded from ford but its about starting the engine.

the store forgot to give me my manual. i need to go back and get it.

How about a hint?

EDIT: Thanks for the info guys.

Maybe you spent too much at the store.

Are you sure you

1. Are driving a 2009 or 10 F150?
2. Downloaded the correct manual?

I downloaded the 3rd revision PDF. I think mine is actually newer than yours. Your page 265 is my page 275! Thanks again!

My bad. I incorrectly assumed you had 2009 and you're welcome.

Is this the same for the 2010 models?
I have turned it off by pressing the button once, but have never tried holding it for 5 seconds.... is there a different indicator or something so you know it is all off?

It's complicated. I suggest you read you owner's manual.

It's not that complicated, and I just re-read it, thanks anyway.

Under 35 mph it turns off TCS, ESC, and RSC if you hold it for more than 5 secs. and will flash once and then illuminate.
If you exceed 35 mph, it turns the ESC and RSC back on automatically.

A single press of the button only turns off the TCS and leaves the RSC and ESC activated.

Simple!

Are you kidding?!!
I don't mean to sound like a d##k, but why is anybody helping this dude out? Tell him to crack his manual open and stop blaming the dealer for not holding his hand and showing him how to buckle the seat belt as well. Taking photos of a manual that has more than likely been shoved in his hand is synonymous with sticky a pacifier in his mouth. Does anybody want to explain the icons on his turn signals?

Why?

Because sometimes (not always though), it is just better, and easier, to be helpful than to be a d##k, as you self-describe.
