Sync problems...
Sweet truck btw!
Iphone Crazy or me
I've had this problem with phone staying connected since I updated to OS4.
I thought I was crazy and doing something wrong but its nice to know others are having the same problem.
Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't it just depends on how the Iphone sync gods feel that day I guess. I'm so frustrated!!!!

I just bought my first Ford a couple days ago. It's a 2010 F150 XLT Supercab. I have an iPhone 4 with the latest 4.0.1 firmware. Tried a couple of time to get it working with Sync, but no luck yet. I'll keep you posted.
Easy fix
My challenges were with Blackberry phone. Thread below discusses my process to correct. No problems since.

You cannot connect any OS4 iPhone to Sync using USB. You CAN stream music via Bluetooth. Ford is reportedly working on a fix but as of now it is not supported. If you have connected an OS4 iPhone and are now having problems using the USB port with any other device (iPod, hard drive, etc) you can pull the fuse in the passenger kick panel to reset Sync. You will lose your settings.
couple of alleged fixes... good luck
Thanks Tap In. I've had my truck for a week today and still haven't taken the time to play with Sync yet. Many of the posts I've read, it sounds like people are plugging their phones into the USB port. I don't think that's the correct way to do it. I have my phone plugged into a Griffin Power Jolt car charger, and I want everything to connect and work through bluetooth. Am I doing it wrong?
You will have limited functionality with Bluetooth. I only use it to make calls and I use the USB to connect my iPod.
Resolved my iPhone issues with Ford Sync that cropped up when I updated the phone's firmware to iOS4. I downloaded and ran Ford's Sycn My iTunes app on my PC, resync'ed the phone with iTunes, now it's able to find my media info again.
I have the LG Versa (VX9600) that connects then drops after a short period of time. Then I select phone which reconnects and can disconnect again. once I make a call it will stay connected. Strange! i also have the BB Tour work phone and no issues with a disconnect. go figure.

Most disconnecting issues are related to the PB auto download or some other BT profile (such as streaming audio) vs. the simple hands-free profile.
