Blue Tooth stopped connecting
Blue Tooth stopped connecting
What I have: 2010 FX4 w/ Nav
The challenge: Both my phone and my wife's phone are paired with the SYNC system and have worked flawlessly in the past. Over the last couple of weeks, my phone stopped connecting. I thought it was my phone and didn't really go much further. Now, my wife's phone will also not connect. I have tried deleting the phones and re-pairing. They will pair fine and when the system trys to connect it fails.
Is there an update that needs to be done or is there something wrong with the system.
Thanks for your help.

If there aren't any updates or they don't solve the problem, try pulling the Sync fuse for 5 minutes. If that doesn't work, try a master reset. Also make sure you delete Sync from your phones before re-pairing them.

Updated my SYNC, there was an update I was able to do and one the dealer has to do. Deleted my phone from SYNC, deleted SYNC from my phone, master reset SYNC and paired my phone. Still will not connect.
Ford looked at my truck today. Apparently there is an issue with Blackberry (imagine that). Blackberry shuts out the SYNC system from time to time and this kills any paired phone connection to SYNC.
Solution:
1) Delete SYNC from phone
2) Delete Phone from SYNC
3) Turn off phone and remove battery for more than 1 minute
4) Pair phone with SYNC
Good to go.
I did this and everything is working again . . . for now.
