Where to tap for Interior or Cargo Light(s)?

I have recently purchased a bed lighting system and want to tap in to the cargo light (or interior lights, since those also work via the switch on the dash).

It probably means that I need to run a wire in to the truck through a grommet under the truck somewhere, but does anyone know where I can run the wire in at or which wire (location and color would be really nice) I could tap in to?

This is what I bought:

Thanks guys!

Sorry - I can totally see where that might be helpful.

I have an '09 SuperCrew.

I spliced into the parking lamp wire for my interior LEDs. Power block at pass side kick plate purple/white wire. When park lights are on my leds are powered and also controlled by separate swich.

That would mean you would have to have the parking lights on in order to have the bed lights on. I would rather have them come on with the interior dome lights. Do you know what wire that is, or have a wiring diagram?

I don't have any diagrams, but I'm gonna wire my LED warning lights tomorrow. I'll poke around while I'm under the dash and get a wire off the dome switch for you if you want

The wire your looking for is under the drivers side sill plate and is a Gray w/Violet tracer and shows 12volts when the dome switch is switched to dome on or drivers door is open (you will need to use a screwdriver to latch the door as if were closed to test this). Be careful there is a smaller gauge wire with the same exact colors and is in a twisted pair and is for something else.

Passengers side sill plate

"is under the driver's side sill plate and is a Gray w/Violet tracer"

This is correct, except that I could only find it under the passenger's side plate on my 2009 XLT Supercrew. I ended up running a wire under the back three quarters of my vehicle that gave me access to put four of these in the four corners of my bed and one more under each of the four doors/runningboard. Thank you for the critical help on this, I am in your debt.
