Cool Lariat vs FX4 Lux

Don't forget the cheap *** grille the FX4 has compared to the Lariat. It's the only thing I hate on my FX4. It would be nice to replace this with a blacked out Lariat grille. Nothing like a base grille on a $40k+ truck

Oh also the crappy FX4 stickers. Anyone know of anyone that reproduces these without the machining details in them. Other than that detail I think they look great. Everyone that looks at my truck asks what happened to the stickers.

the first 2009 f150 i saw was a white with the black interior with the light stone interior. it was my favorite. it that pic it does look more tan, but in person it looked more light grey. i thought it contrasted perfectly.

I have a 2010 FX4 white with black interior. I also have the luxury package. I DO NOT have a moon roof and I DO have the power sliding rear window and have the light up mirrors. I never knew the rear seats in my screw were made out of vinyl. I wish the rear seats had the arm rest, I wish I had home link for the garage door opener, and I wish I had the cooled seats. Other than those three gripes, I LOVE my truck! I guess I wouldn’t mind the advanced message center that comes in the lariat.

Im not sure what the 09+ model Lariat's message center does but my buddys 09 stx message center does everything my 04 Lariat does. You just do it with the one button in the instrument cluster instead of having three buttons.

the 9+ lariat message center gives you instant fuel eco in the form of a bar step graph. My 10 FX2 does not.

I just like the looks of the FX4. I didnt like the chrome on the larait.
I have added homelink and ordered the truck with the remote start to combat the black leather in the summer. I love my FX4! No regrets!

How did you add the home-link? I was thinking about seeing if the wire clip for it was already there and just buying the visor...?

I just ordered a new sunvisor and wired it in. It was a little expensive, but a nice addition on a $48,000.00 truck! It should have came with the Lux package!

I agree re Lariat.

How do you like the chrome on your steps?

Is your nose higher than out back... or is that camera angle?

I was thinking of just having the FX4 grille painted gloss black. Looked great on the 06-08 FX4 Lux units.

The cheap grille you have on the 2009-2010 F150 (XL)STX/FX4 is not on the 2011 FX4 anymore. The 2011 FX4's have a new sterling grey billet style grille (similar to the one below but with body color surround.) By the way, I'm not a big fan of the Lariat grilles. That's one reason I will stay away from the Lariat.

Power Kid, painting it might be a decent option but I think the styling is still lacking on it. My truck is black which is why I was thinking of doing a charcoal coloured Lariat or Platinum grille. I like the factory look or I would just add a billet style to it. Platinum grille is pricey though ...

Got you.

Mine will be black so thats why I was thinking gloss black would work fine. I will ahve to see the '11 grille in person before I choose.
