will 2008 OEM running boards fit on an 09?

As the title says. will the ford factory running boards from a 2008 Super Crew fit on an 09 Supercrew?

I know that cab is a little longer, I was curious if the holes still matched up or not.

If not, what about taking the tubes off the bracket and adjusting them to center.

thoughts?

It is my understanding that they do not but someone who has the correct answer should chime in.

No way that they can; the cab's 6" longer on the new SuperCrews. Could one make it work? Assuming the mounting is the same, sure. Would it look good? No way.

I can tell you that the SUPERCAB ones fit fine but that's not what you're asking.

I found the part numbers and saw that they were different on OEM models for the SCREW.

But when looking at an aftermarket option, they used the same part number for both models.

I wouldn't buy those at all, or, at least from the place you found them. There's no way '08 Screw steps will fit an '09 in the length department.

Are you sure of the fit.

I just bought a new (2009) Lariat Super Cab and was told the black platform running boards off my 2005 Lariat would not fit, so I left them on the trade in. I did not have a chance to measure and compare the two trucks. I also know the black platform boards fit alot tighter than the tube style. Do you have any details on this. I have seen that different aftermarket styles come in 2004-10 part numbers while others are 2004-08 or 2009-10.

Thanks

On a SCrew, or a SCab? The SCab, sure. But on a SCrew? Let's see a pic of that.
