Is it true? If so that sucks.

I remember a post on here about changes for 2010, I think that sounds familiar.

They looked goofy anyway. They used the 08 box. Ford was just trying to use up some old parts. No surprise it's gone. I bet it will be back though.

Not surprised. I my area I hardly ever see a flareside anyway. However some of them do look pretty sharp!

I agree that I would rather have a styleside, but I do think that the flareside bed looks good on regular cab truck.

I always wondered what the point of a flareside was. I would never sacrifice bed space like that.

Happy trails, FlareSide, been good knowin' ya!

The '04 FlareSide on the '09 looked awful anyways. Why would you want half your truck to look new and the other half to look 5 years old? I'm pretty sure Ford was the last truck manufacturer to offer a FlareSide option, now in '10 it'll be gone the way of incandesent taillights... oh wait, Ford STILL doesn't have LED tails, what was I thinking?

I love the flareside bed on most trucks (I say most because the previous generation Toyota had hideous taillights on their flareside), but if it is not making Ford money they have to cut it. It is a rough economy.

The flare-side Ranger has been gone for years. Too bad, it was a sporty looking truck.

The OBS flaresides were nice looking trucks. The NBS ones looked HIDEOUS. I agree with the statement that Ford was just using up old parts.

And I would like to see LEDs in these trucks but you have to keep in mind Ford builds these to suit everyone and to take punishment. LEDs require electronics which make the truck more complicated. Won't be long tho.

This is good to hear, I have never been a fan of the flareside. The change that ford made that really bugs me is the way they dropped the FX4 line in the superduties in 2011 and made it an 'option', that is pure crap IMO. The FX4 line is very popular and should have stayed the way it was, not an option on other models
