I can only hope. The flareside body style sucked.

Which is why Ford is getting rid of the flareside.

^^Agreed. I don't see much of a market for flareside trucks anymore with the addition of the side step that has been added, cutting all the loose ends will improve the companies overall finances as well.

Ehhh.... When i first saw a screw/flareside I thought wow that is different, and still do for the most part cause they are pretty rare in my area. But the concept of the flareside in general never caught on for me, someone around here posted pics of their old 01-03 model black 150 that was lifted and a flareside and had done it up well! that flareside did look good

Agreed.

That is a purdie tuck!(Even though I'm not much on Crews with 6.5 ft beds. Too long for my liking. Still a very nice looking truck)

I have love for the Flareside, and wish Ford would keep them.

I think the Flareside on the 97-03's fit their body style better though. L's are beautiful trucks with their Flareside beds.

Loved the flare side trucks, and ford was about the only one with steps on both sides of the fenders

Keep in mind that's a pic of an '04 body style FlareSide, so it looks pretty good (still needs to lose those awful tie down things).

But on the '09 body style the FlareSide looks bizarre because Ford didn't change it at all, so the lines don't match up at all. Didn't make sense to me, until they announced it was discontinued for 2010. Now I see they either a. needed to use up old parts or b. wanted the first year of their refresh to be able to say "We are the only truck manufacturer with a FlareSide."

My Toreador Red 1999 F-150 SCab flairside was one nice looking truck. I sold it this year to get an '09 SCrew, having kept my '04 SCrew. But it was a nice truck. On the new trucks, I prefer the styleside bed.

Oh, you mean they went back to the way it used to be? silly them...

It was stupid of them to make it a whole separate trim line to begin with, they should have left it the way it used to be similar to the z71 chevy

I still love her anyway!

I actually thought the flareside looked better on the 09 then the 04-08. Although I love my 06 to.

P.s. Sorry to dig up an older post, just had to defend my truck!

I thought the flareside looked better on ther new trucks. I just can't get used to the tail lights or tail gate on the style side.

Yep -- they dropped the Flareside bed on the Ranger a few years back as well. While there were certainly some Flareside devotees out there, it was such a small percentage of production that it was sure to get the axe once the next economic downturn hit.
