XLT Super Cab. 6/29/09

What are some of you getting mileage wise with your 5.4's. Cruising speeds on the highway that is?

Got an XLT Screw in Razor Red on 6-27-09. Picked up 7-3-09 after Linex and Access tonneau cover were added.

Picked up my 09 Lariat SCrew (Oxford White two tone paint) with about all the options available on 7/3/09. My 05 Lariat was a nice truck as well, but I'm liking what Ford has done with the new trucks. They've improved stock performance and the 6 speed is a positive addition. Took the family to the mtns yesterday and the truck was awesome. Was first interested in the Platinum but couldn't find the Oxford white with full options and I prefer the fixed running boards to the motorized ones for door ding prevention. I like the Platinum but the cost and lack of inventory for what I wanted led me back to the Lariat since it had everything for almost $3k less.

Went in to get a very basic XLT, ended up with the Lariat. Had everything I wanted and then some. The picture is not the best angle, I will get better ones soon. After I smoke out my tail lights.

I just picked up my Dark Blue Pearl FX4 three days ago with the luxury package. What a fabulous truck. It's replacing my 2000 Lariat. Haven't been on my Harley since I bought the truck.

My 2005 Lariat Supercrew just turned 70,000 and was starting to have some serious engine issues (lots of trailer towing and probable programmer abuse). Rather than replacing an engine, I'm restarting with a 2009 XLT Supercrew. I miss the leather and center console shift, but money and the need for a quick replacement dictated the stepdown.

On the plus side, I do have a much more tow capable truck, no need for aftermarket tow controller or mirrors, I have an extra foot of bed space, and the kids have an extra 6" of back row space.

Oh, and the Blue Flame with the chrome package is a major improvement over Medium Wedgewood Blue. I had a co-worker ask me the other day If I had to plug it in first for it to be that blue!

Picked up my Brilliant Silver Metallic XLT SuperCrew Friday night, 7/31/09. Went back and forth with the dealer over two weeks. Traded-in a 2004 F-150 XLT SuperCab. So many new things in the Crew I'm overwhelmed. I'm excited most about the extra space, followed by the Sync system.
