I'm looking to replace my climate controls, window buttons, cluster and other similar bulbs with blue LEDs. Just wondering if some of you guys could help me pick which ones that I needed from the v-leds site. Also, if any of you have changed out some of these bulbs, a tip or two would be greatly appreciated. I've read quite a bit on HOW to do it, but nothing really as to what bulbs I would need to buy, especially once you get on the website, it can be a bit misleading. Thanks!

I finally got around to putting the LED map and dome lights in today and they don't seem to want to fit.

What size bulbs did you get? Did you get the ones I posted a link to? They should fit without any problems. If they don't light, turn them around and you'll be good to go.

I haven't done these lights, nor do I plan to. I believe Raptor has done his - search the Technical Articles section at the top of the web page.

Yep...I got the same ones you linked to. I got the front map lights in. They took a bit more force than the stock lights to get in. At first I thought maybe they were just a bit too big to fit the socket.

The one for the dome light seems like the center section of the LED light is just a bit too long and doesn't quite fit between the clips that hold the light in place. I will take a look at it again tomorrow. If they worked for you then I'm sure I am just doing something wrong. Leave it to me to make an extremely simple job more difficult than it is.

Hope you can solder good. I hear it's quite a bit of work too

I just recently did this to my 09 FX4 Screw and it makes a world of difference in terms of brightness, plus the white looks better than the stock halogens with that yellowish glow.

Putco makes a kit you can buy, or you can go to sylvania.com look at the bulb replacement guide and buy each individual bulb from gorecon.com or another similar manufacturer.

I love the look of the blue, but I'd like the option of having white map lights.

I'm still waiting for my '11. Do the map lights come on automatically with the dome lights (FX2)?

Does anyone know if it's a big deal to change the color of the gear selector/indicator lamp ? Not a fan of the red.

I did the white led's in my interior and I love them! They just look so classy, I think these trucks should have come stock with them.
