Are they the cheap china ballasts?
I don't know about inspections, will find out in December I guess. The link for the lights is on page 1. These are bi-xenon, both Hi and Lo are HID. I have no idea regarding the quality of the ballast, but they were inexpensive. I can tell you they are durable, I dropped 2 of them during install.

I bought a pair of the 6000k bi-xenon's last week and just installed them tonight. Did any of you have issues with the headlights being level after you installed them? My driver side light seems to be pointing down much further than the passenger side. Is there an easy way to adjust the level of the light, like a screw or bolt?

Next I'd like to see if I can replace the puddle lights under the side mirrors with some white LED's. I think that would look pretty cool.

I just did mine on my 06 along with all the others, looks 10x better

Here are the ones I got http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-31mm-12-SMD-L...QQcmdZViewItem

They just fit width wise with the reflector removed, if you don't want to remove it he also as 9led's also.

You need to be real careful to remove the light from the housing as the clip holding it in is just plastic and can bust off easy. Then you need to cut the lenses open has it is sonically welded to the plastic housing.

See this thread, it help me alot

I thought that the oncoming traffic side lights do point down a little further to stop glare?

That's certainly possible, but this is noticeably pointed almost straight down in front of the truck. Definitely way more than it should be. I haven't had a chance to poke around under the hood, but I'm assuming there is some kind of adjustment screw that would allow me to angle the light up a little more. I hope someone here knows where it is.

My drivers die light is off alittle and pointing down as well. Looking at my garage doors when I have them they seem to be off about an inch or two. My other 2 f150's had the lights aimed the same way guessing not to annoy oncoming traffic. I have to take the lights out anyway one bulb doesnt switch to high (move) and the replacement bulb isnt the same color as the others. Ill let you know when I poke at it later or tomorrow.

Thanks, I'd really appreciate it. I'll look around a little tonight as well and post if I find anything.

On a semi-related note, are the gaps between your headlights and front grill even on both sides? I didn't really notice before last night, but the gap on the passenger side is bigger than the driver side. I can stick my little finger between the light and grill on the passenger side, but not at all on the driver side. Any way to even them out that anyone knows about? The underside of the grill looks to have some adjustment screws, but I don't know if I want to go playing around with them too much. I don't think it's anything I could have done because both headlights went back into place perfectly. I think it was like that before and I just never noticed.

I looked at the gaps on mine and they are even. Check your headlights again, if its not them then maybe its a dealer issue for them to look at.

My drivers side lamp is lower as well. I put tape on the garage around the beam before removing the lights, then left the vehicle in that spot while I installed the HID's and re-aligned them to the exact alignment as they were from the factory.

It must be to not annoy oncoming traffic I guess.

I bought VisionPro HID 6000K, anyone know if they are reputable?? I went with them because the igniter is built into the ballast housing.

I am ordering the Recon projector headlights which uses an H1 bulb and I am wondering if the H1 kit will work for projector headlights? Does anybody know what type of kit needs to be used with it?

web link was dead. Am I missing something or did you just add HID bulbs and ballasts to your existing headlights without using a projector? Thats pretty offensive, and blinds oncoming traffic. If so? I keep a laser pointer in my truck for those who pull up behind me with BS HID kits.

However if this is a retro...I am listening.
If not. educate HIDplanet.com
