HID's for my 09

I just installed Xenonlinks's HID kits for my headlights (bi-xenon) and fogs. All went well except for a minor bulb problem that was rectified quickly by William. It was easy plug and play setup, I just had to flip the diode/resistor for the headlights for the highs to work. I cant wait to drive tonight with them. Sorry for the pic its a little sunny out. I will get a better pic tonight!!

Are the fogs H10-9140's or H10-9145's? I can't seem to find the 9140's.

How was the install? Easy? Hard to find places to mount the ballasts? Easy to get into the lights?

ChromeZ Mar 5, 2009 07:24 PM

the numbers i do not remember.

The install is easy. Bulbs fit in just as the stock ones do push and twist.
The wiring is where a little but of know how comes in. battery connector, 2 grounds (per set), plug and play makes it easy (retro solutions or xentek i believe is plug and play as well).

On my 07 the fogs were very simple to mount there was an opening on the frame connecting the bumpers. I mounted the headlights with double sided tape to the side of the headlight itself. Nice little spot to put it!

intersting mod... so no wire slicing? is it just like an adapter you plug into the stock bulb socket

need soom pics!

ChromeZ Mar 7, 2009 07:48 PM

depending which kit you get YES no wire splicing. there are a couple companies out there that are "plug-and-play" u still have ballast and all of course but no splicing wires. Only thing is im not sure if you still have to ground the fuse like u did in the 04-08. I would assume so. (Bambi mod - allows to run fogs and bright lights as well as give you your high/low beam functions)

Very cool :beers: Its awesome to see you guys already modding your 09's
