I use to have a '97 supercab shortbox 4x4 f150 and it was a bright blue, it was a frickin neat color and they stopped making it. I honestly have only seen one other f150 that was the same color as mine was and I know it was a factory color, but anyways. I saw a 2009 and it was Flame Blue or Blue Flame and it was the neatest color I've ever seen, it's a little bit more of a brighter blue than my old truck was, but I definately just got a new favorite color.

I would probably do almost anything to have a new '09 FX4 in that color, lifted 6 inches with some 35x12.5's.

For a lot cheaper you can have a body shop mix you up some of that blue and for a couple big ones paint your existing truck that color

 

I like the color too, but I don't think it's even close to the 97 "M&M Blue"....

 

Thats almost the same color my car used to be. I dont mind it but my wife hates it. Crazy how much cleaner the 09's look without the running boards as well.

 

yea that is a badass color, if i order a new truck i would have a hard time deciding between that and the new silver color

Agreed. Been a lot of talk about that new blue soon as the first pics of it showed up! I remember asking one of the Ford guys on here if the Plat would be available in it, and he said yes! And then of course, it wasn't... Just like the remote start...

And no, the new blue looks absolutely NOTHING like that total-crap, washed-out, Downey-blue color the '97's had. I absolutely HATED that color, and recall it well. Saw very few in that color ever, and it still haunts me to this day that they would ruin a great truck by painting it that sickly shade of blue. If I was brave enough I'd try to find a pic online to post here, but I hated it too much to do that to myself ever again. ::shudders::

 

Comet you sound like you got molested by a man wearing that shade of blue clothing or something lol, just kidding, but yeah this blue is a lot better. I'm into bright colors that stand out. Rather than dark green, dark blue, maroon, black, or grey's. I like it to POP! I like the 2nd picture of that new '09. The one without the grey on the bottom. I'm not a big fan of the two tone, sorry to guys that have it. It reminds me of an old mans truck.

 

I prob would have gone for that color as it was pretty close to what my clio had. But wife got me to get the tri white sand and i took her word for it being nice as i had never seen it before. Lucky for her i like it lol

I still miss my '98 Moonlight Blue at times. That was one of my favorite colors.

 

That ugly color is Teal lol, from what I can tell from the pic. I have a Teal 98 reg cab 4x4 and there are a few around town, but the color was only out for a bit.. I even special ordered my color, its a good conversation piece..

 

Not digging the color, too happy and cheerful for a truck color.

 

WOAH!!! THATS NOT THE BLUE I MEANT! That teal is a pretty bad color....I'm gonna find a picture of my old truck and show you guys the blue I'm talking about. Thats more green than blue. My blue was sweet looking!
