I would have to say 08.

I really don't like the look of the new 09.

I plan to keep my 07 FX4 for some time.

guys just want to say i own a 2004 supercrew lariat 4x4 love it! could do without the metal bars on the side of the seat from the frame but its paid for oh well...Just took a gander at a new 09 lariat and sat in it no test drive...holy ****...night and day I am 6'4 340 so I know when I am not comfortable...Ford has stepped up to the plate again and hit a walk off homerun. With the seat all the way back the steering wheel seemed a bit hard to comfortably reach...sat in the back while in the same position and actually fit with a touch to spare ...wouldn't want to ride for 3 hrs like that... the seats were much more comfortable than 04 , much wider with the flow through console, headroom was more improved top it off we can get heated and cooled seats now. not just heated. Do yourselves a favor and go sit in one...my brother in law god bless him just bought an 08 gmc 1500 sierra the Ford blows it away

 

Picked mine up last saturday. Should have kept looking for an 08, but I caved after test driving the 09.

 

Go with the 08'!! Much better deal on a MUCH better looking truck.

Every 09' I see makes me like them even less. UGLY Front end, UGLY back end, just plain ugly. They are NOT growing on me.....actually, I am going the other way......I like them less every day.

Look at the 2 side by side......the 04' looks like a f-150. The 09' looks like a Toyota/Dodge/Chevy.......UGLY.

Under all that ugly skin is supposed to be a pretty good truck. I just cant understand what the hell Ford was thinking? Oh well, another few years and they will re-make it again......hopefully with less cues from the foriegn companys!

I know we are FORD guys and its hard to admit sometimes, but come on guys......that thing looks like an UGLY JAP Truck!

 

I would have to agree with you to some extent, the 09's are really not doing it for me at all! the tailgate is so UGLY! and the front looks like a box...

I'm going to be keeping my 07 FX4 untill they re design.

 

Dont get me wrong......under that terrible looking shell.....still sits the toughest truck on the road! Its just a bad design call. 90% of the "die hard" Ford guys I know wouldnt touch an 09' simply because of styling. I know 4 people who have bought 08's since they actually saw the 09's in person.
