Don't get HIDs in stock housings, glare might be different on these lights but IMO it still is nothing like projectors and not blinding others.

FX4 rim/tire options

I'm wondering about what the tradeoffs are between the 20" and 18" rim tire options for the FX4. I'm planning on the crewcab with the longer 157" wheel base so does that mean I should go with the larger rims? The tires on the 20" rims look kinda low profile - not really off-road looking??

Any body want to clew me in?

If it were me I would stick with the LT 18" tire option that is what I have on my 04 works quite well.

If you plan on towing any weight worth mentioning, I'd forget the 20's. I have them on my 2008, and I think they kill my performance. Of course, I have LT rubber that is larger and much heavier than the junk Pirellis.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I will go with the 18" I also noticed that if you get the max tow option you only get the extra leaf spring if you go with the 18" option.

I will agree, The lower 1st and 2nd gear get the truck moving much quicker. I drove an xlt and I think the seats are awesome. There is a lot of rearseat space in the supercrew. Don't worry kodi, I don't care about pics. Pics don't do justice for the 09s. I have been looking at pics since May. You have to see them in person and then you will get the true feeling of a how good these trucks really are. congrats on the purchase!

Its strange that people say this because the 0-60 times of the 09 and 04-08 F150s are barely different.

Thats cause the 20's come with the extra leaf std. (four) 18s get 3 std, 4 w/max tow. Don't ask me why. Just what I found out looking at various 09's at dealers.

Thanks! I think I'll go with the 20" then, they are much better looking! The tires that come with them don't look that great but I'll burn thru them in a year or so.

Drive one and find out for yourself. Changing 1st gear from 2:86 to 4:17 ratio makes a heck of a difference. It will get off the line much quicker.
