Front looks decent, back is hideous. And why in the hell would they put a 6.5 bed on a platinum? Noone is going to actually use one of those as a truck.

Is that some sort of retractable step in front of the rear wheels?

^Yep, its a new option that comes with the "accessibility package" or something like that.. I think the tailgate step is in that same package.

I agree. And, it has those big mirrors like a carpenter is going to towing his carpentry trailing around daily

Actually, I look for more of ours to be ordered that way than with the 5.5'. Due to tax laws, you need a 6' minumum cargo area to depreciate more than a specific $ amount in a single year. We need the 6.5' to make the farmers eligible to deduct them 100% the first year. Many of these don't need the 6.5' box as they just use them as a car, but still have to have it for IRS reasons.

You guys crack me up with the shopping cart comments!

I've been out of the f150 arena for a couple of years now (sold my 04 when the warranty ran out and it started stalling out every day), and when I saw the 09 in the Kroger parking lot the other day, I got all excited thinking someone snuck one out the back door from Dearborn.

I now see it's old news...

Anyways, gotta say I like the current ones better!

Just glad I'm not in the market for a truck..

Those side steps well help their new and used sales with short people.
