Where did you hear the wood was real? From what I understand all the chrome-plated stuff in a Lariat is actually real brushed-aluminum like you stated (I believe even the front grille is brushed-aluminum not chrome-plated). But I don't recall hearing anywhere that they went from the fake plastic-wood trim to actual real-wood trim. Slap down a LINK for that info if you've got it. Thanks!

Max Platinum: $49,735

50 g's is too high. Why don't you just go buy two 08 FX4's or Lariats.

I just did some Mark LT build & pricing, and it isn't that much cheaper than a loaded Plat. Maybe 2 or 3k cheaper, although trying to load up the Mark LT is kinda weird, it has some packages that delete others with things you'd want, for example it seems to delete the Audiophile if you want the Elite Package, but if you do Tech Package it deletes stuff in Elite. Makes no sense. But it's a butt-ugly truck anyways so who cares.

My point being - the Platinum is a MUCH nicer truck in & out than that crappy Mark LT, and it's not much higher in price. Although looking at the Mark LT, it makes me wonder why you can't get the Platinum with the chrome rocker panels? Those are the only nice thing about the Mark LT, the rest is just really fake crap thrown over an F-150 with hideous Lincoln badging and grille.

Mark LT loaded: about 46k-47k
Platinum loaded: about 49k-50k

It's still crazy expensive, but I bet anyone who ever bought a Mark LT (or Blackwood) hates themselves for doing so. You certainly won't hate yourself for buying a Platinum!

No way the wood is real. That was plastic just like the current Lariats.

I can't find it anywhere. Everything I find says "wood accents", so maybe it is fake, but not as fake as the denali interior. The interior on the Denali is very cheap.

I bought it!

Well, I'm one of the loons who purchased it. I bought it in Glendale CA and it had a price tag of $54K USD. I gave up my Porsche to get this truck. I love it but it has the worst NAV I have ever used. There are many other mistakes that I could go into if anyone cares to hear, but I'll await any response first. It is still an amazing beast. That price by the way, was just with the standard options, - I added the bed liner, tonneau cover and bed extender adding yet another few grand. It is equally as comfortable as my Porsche. Great ride and room in the back. Fantastic interior leather (mine is brown with black trim). It does however SUCK on gas, and the closest green station is 35 mins away. Driving that far and back for a fill up, will cost me the 15 cents per gal that I save, so it's a wash. Am I sorry for buying it? Nope - but I wish I would have looked at other trucks first. It was the first I looked at and I was ansy to buy one.

I'd buy a powerstroke 250 before even considering this 150, but to each his own.

The MSRP for the Platinum edition in Canada is $60,929, but some dealer are discounting it as much $14000. Then there's currently a $1000 further rebate for Costco members and another $1000 off if you own certain competitors brand vehicle and the list of competitors is a mile long. So in total you're looking at around $16000 off plus you can take their financing rates if you like.

$44000 Canadian is not bad at all.

Guys you do know that this thread is almost 2 years old!! I have a fully loaded platinum as many do on here and maxed out with every option is about $52k max MSRP so dont expect to pay anywhere near that for one.
