A lot of work to do? Nah, looks like she's about ready to hit the streets to me!

Just kidding...that looks like a fun project. I look forward to seeing pictures when you are finished.

That looks pretty nice. Can't wait to see some modded ones patrolling the forums here.

I sorta agree about the odd look to the tape or whatever that is on there. But I must say, I hated those little short 1/4 doors of the 04-08 reg cabs. The seat would set well back behind the 1/4 doors and the little 1/4 doors would hit me square in the back when getting in the trucks, I went to a Dodge becasue of that very problem. I am glad to see they are doing away with the 1/4 doors and are going back to putting just larger doors on them.

Its great that the stupid little mini worthless doors are going away, ever since I first seen that in 2003 i was like "what in the hell???" Maybe it allows easier access to behind the seats, and sets differently and more unique, well yeah unique in a bad way, and lazy drivers who cant move the seat forward.

Anyways, I am liking the new generation. Im getting used to the new front fascia more and more. I still think the King Ranch is the best looking 09. Still not thrilled for the taillamps that remind me a little of the Chevy Colorado's, but thinking how awesome that 6spd is.

Now I can say Ford has the best looking single cab again, haven't been able to since the Lightning days! Dodges single cab looks weird and very plain, GMs GMT-900 series generation new body looks too plain, Fords just right.

GMs GMT900 regular cabs do not have anymore leg room than the 800s did, and the behind the seat storage of the GMT 800s and now the 900s is almost non existant, in comparison to Ford, Dodge, and Toyota. I think the Regular cab is what most people who use trucks to work out of tend to buy, so IMO GM made a huge mistake with there 900 series trucks with the direction the full size truck market is heading now.

I have an 08 with the "stupid little doors" and I have to say that they are pretty handy. Speaker boxes are easily fit back there and scooting the seat forward doesn't help that much. It is also great for holding a cold 12-pack. I use it to store all the stuff that I would otherwise need a toolbox for. Don't knock em until you have tried them.

I ENVY you SO much. One of the few set in concrete life goals I have is to get a truck like that and fully restore it to a show-winning condition.

Please keep us updated with pics!
