I estimate the MSRP to roughly around "retarded" to "Get the F out of here"

I'll say 70 large plus (by the time taxes, freight etc. are included) in Canuckistan.

...i doubt Nav will be a choice, it would be standard in the topline trim.

Judgeing by how the 08 Mark LT was priced I can't see it being much more expensive than the King Ranch edition.

2008 Mark LT fully loaded checked in at around $58,500 Canadian up here
and a fully loaded King Ranch edition came in at around $55/$56,000 and the Harley was around that as well so I really can't see them priceing this Platinum
Edition truck much differently than they have priced there line up in the past.

I really don't think they can get away with asking $70k for a pick up with a ford logo on it. The Limited Expedition up here with every option in the EL model prices out at around $71,000 so I can't see $70,000 for a pick up.
The downfall of the Mark LT in my opinion was that people were not going to pay $10 to $15k more for a Lariat with nicer leather and a different grill and now that I have seen the interior of the new Lariat which really is not that far behind the Platinum I can't see there being a $20k difference in price between the two probobly just the same price seperation as the Lariat and the LT was before.

I guess only time will tell but I really hope Ford doesn't think they can sell the Platinum for Cadillac EXT money as then I think the Platinum will follow the same root as the Blackwood and the Mark LT.

As if the King Ranch wasn't already bad enough. Although I do love the FX4's I may end up with another XLT, it has fit my needs perfectly

My guesstimate was based on an "out the door" price. Even at $58,500, plus 13% taxes you're looking at $67 G's plus freight, pdi, blah blah blah...... so we're close

Yep, provincial sales tax is 8%, but we dropped down 1% on the GST (5%) for 08

Edit, I just realized where you're from, so you know the GST part

I was talking sticker on window price but I see what you mean. I still can't see Ford selling many more of these then they did the Mark LT.
If Ford wanted $70/75k for this thing they should have left it a Lincoln Mark LT and really seperated it looks and quality wise from the F150 much like Cadillac has done with the EXT and the Avalanche.

In the Platinum Edition interior pictures it shows both a Nav picture and a non Nav picture so I asoom it will be an option.
I opted for the Nav in my 07 Lariat and will not be opting for it on my future F150 as it serves nothing more than a conversation peace for me in my truck.

...no problem, that's why i asked, wasn't sure if you realized they dropped the rate & i couldn't remeber what the sales tax was in different provinces.....but like you indicated, not that the 1% is a huge make or break anyways.
