shipping broker fees and then 57-75% duty 7% stamp tax on top of the final landed cost.
that means the most basic model they produce with no options will prob put me back around 45k.

thats the downside to living in the bahamas.

if you own a 99 your middle class but only the top guys own 2004+ (there are only 3 on the island) out of 46thousand ppl.

people only earn 150-180 a week and if your well off 300-400 $s

i want to be the first on island to own one (i can dream) but ill try.

I am hoping that the Platnium is a couple grand more than the KR 4x4 which right now runs about $42-$43,000. They cannot price this truck out the market. The Lincoln LT was around $45 when it was avaliable.

And I remember back in late 2006 - early 2007 being able to buy the LT cheaper than a Lariat comparably equipped (the best you could, anyway). You can bet the Platinum will pull a grand or two over the King Ranch at best. I wouldn't be suprised seeing it higher at first with a limited production, but I'll bet limited wouldn't last long. Watch the 2009 videos and listen how the king ranch went from several thousand a year production to over 30,000. The platinum looks like one sweet ride.

Like I said earlier I see the price trend being the same as before for us north of the border.

Loaded Lariat $50k
Loaded King Ranch $56k
Loaded Lt/Now Platinum $59/60k

I know I know... Its crazy what were charged up here compared to our friends down south.

Look for it to cost what a Mark LT does now, since that's what it replaces, but also plan on it to be higher if you also order the new features like tailgate step, etc.

Wow, that's a lot of money for a light duty truck! I guess the F150 is becoming a true luxury vehicle with the Platinum Edition.

Ford cannot out price them selves on this truck! If they are going to price the platinum at $50,000 I would just rather buy a SD. I can get a loaded out SD for about the same price in this area. If they price the FX4 with a diesel at 37,000-40,000 they'll sell trucks. It they go much more than that, they'll have to promise outstanding MPG, Tow ratings, and incentives to get it manageable for the average person that tows on a regular basis and uses the truck for a daily driver. I am looking for them to post 13,000# tow ratings with the diesel option. About 11,500# with the 6 speed and the 5.4. This will be a nice truck if they can do it and they will balance out the people that are border line 150-250 needy... like myself. A SD would do the job BETTER than the 150, but I can't justify the cost of the SD upgrade for the times I need it. The F-150 does an outstanding job right now. If the diesel works out this way and it gets good MPG then SIGN ME UP! The integrated brake control, the re-designed frame, the tailgate step, the backup camera and diesel option tells me that Ford is going for the RVer that needs the truck to work but still needs to drive it on a daily basis. Sure, the platinum edition is nice but I can't see it with a TT hooked to the back bumper going to the local CG. JMHO

What makes you think for a second that a Super Duty doesn't make a great daily driver? I get 14 MPG consistently and it is as comfortable, if not more comfortable, than my 04 F150 was. My well-equipped F250 was $42k, and that's with the $7k diesel/torqueshift option. To me, it rides like a Cadillac..with attitude.

They all seem to be having 5000 dollar (or around there) Canadian dollar equity rebates. The sticker prices have not come down.

Yeah, but doesn't an F150 in the Netherlands retail for about $120,000 dollars?
