And whats up with not having a gas cap? Has removing the gas cap during refueling really been a messy process? Is there even going to be an option for a locking gas cap?

I guess the bean counters said "Hey if we sell 1,000,000 trucks and we don't put a $13.00 gas cap on them, then we saved $13,000,000."

 

There's always going to be haters. People who don't want to accept change. People who don't want to admit that they don't have the latest greatest thing any more. People who liked things the way they were and hate to see them go. It reminds me of that old Saturday Night Live skit where Dana Carvey talked about how things were when he was a kid..."and we liked it that way!". It's usually just sour grapes.

Nope ...I love it !!! I think FORD nailed what the majority of it's customers and the customers of the other brands want. And I think they will reap the rewards when these hit the showroom. When can I place my order ??

I really got burned with the 04 F-150, I should have waited for Ford to work out the bugs, and than bought a 06, My truck I have now has many payments and miles left.

But I like the 09 F-150

 

Why can't people just accept that other people have opinions too and these opinions are just as valid as anyone else's. And it has nothing to do with sour grapes. I, like you, have noting invested in this new design. So what is there to be sour about?

Well they cant please everyone this is a truck for the masses not specific people, if you dont like dont buy it! I think the truck looks awesome, the badge with the rear view camera on the tailgate is kinda iffy but i think ill get used to it....

I love Ford trucks. I love the looks of them and the toughness of them. For the most part, I prefer the people who drive them over most other vehicles. I DO hate Toyota Avalon drivers, but that's another story that I have never told here. I don't consider myself a hater, but if Stealth says I am, then I guess I am. He's the one who is always trying to get me to leave because I don't have an F150, but last time I checked, it was not a requirement. I just get a kick out of the fact that the biggest hater on this site is calling ME a hater. Stealth, you crack me up!

 

I'm just disappointed that Ford isn't keeping up with the competition. Sure, the current model was ahead of its time. And because of this many of Ford's competitors looked at the F150 and borrowed some of the traits that made the F150 successful. And I also realize that a new truck cycle hasn't happened yet for Ford. This is not a completely new design, but rather an upgrade. I imagine that we will see an all new design sometime around 2012.

there is more changes than you might think. but not a complete redesign. at first look I didn't like the look of this truck. but after looking it over more I like alot of the changes they made but not all of them. as said ford will not be able to make every one happy with there changes. every one has different tastes. some of the changes they make can be modified to ones likeing with aftermarket mods. of coarse one of the things I do not like is the headlights. and I could buy aftermarket ones but I would be stuck with the square look. but I could find something that looks better than those. and there is always aftermarket grills and what not.

I will get the 2009 ford f150 when it comes out, I like the style and it looks like it means business. I went and looked at chebys today and man I like the exterior a little bit but the interior is so carish and not tough looking. they dont even have 4 disc brakes!! Im sticking to Ford, mine has not let me down once,

 

agree.. donno bout the interior... find it to be too much also...
not a fan at all of what they did.
