That is the standard crew cab. There is no "mega-cab", that is the new length for the crew cab. It does look kinda "mega" though, but much better than Dodge's or Toyota's.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see the full line up from the autoshow photos. Besides, I still have another 50,000 miles to put on my truck before I even consider trading her in.

Wouldn't it be nice if Ford would "step up" and stand out from the rest of the full sized trucks? I mean, common y'all, full sized trucks from all designers are very similar.

Kinda makes me sick.

if ford went on a different path, then everybody would be crying that it doesnt look like a truck.

I need to upsize from my 2006 Tacoma. I was holding off to see how the 2009 F-150 is. I guess I will buy a Tundra now.

Its funny how when the Tundra was first introduced that everyone, including Toyota owners thought it looked like the bastard child of a Dodge Ram. Now they think its Cat's A$$. Personally I still think they were right the first time. I plan on waiting till I see the truck from all angles till I pass Final judgement and see the Real interior.

I not a big fan of it?

That dash looks like it has waaay to many buttons and dials. other than a few outside details tail lights and grill not much is different. I guess thats a good thing. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I will still probably buy one down the road but Im glad I bought last week though.

Yes. Everyone agrees it is "hideous." Look what these guys are saying:

"Thumbs down..."

"No column mounted shifter? Isn't that kind of "importish"?"

"I hope it will look better than that."

"The Silverado is looking better all of the time."

Oops, wait a second. That's what the forum said about the 2004 F-150 in 2003 before any good pics came out! No one has seen any great pictures of the new truck so how can you say it's hideous?

One picture of one level(platimum) doesn't really help much. We need to see a front shot... Sure we now know that its not a complete overhaul, we know the basic body panels etc, but there will be diff grilles and dash treatment, so we should reserve final judgement. I remember clearly when I had seen the first good spyshot of the 87 F-150 (popular mechanics as I recall) and I almost cryed it looked so bad. But it turned out fine, and hey she same thing happened with the 97... That dash is probably just the dash for the platinum level and the XL/XLT/FX4/Lariat will not be so busy...

Ultimatly if it has a 6.2L and a 6speed it'll have to look very bad b4 I don't want one!!!

Oops, wait a second. That's someone's opinion. By the pictures posted, people can form one.

Are you surprised everyone isn't drooling all over themselves in anticipation?

I know this is the only picture but this pic of it is hideous. I hope that this is not the pic of it or that it looks much better in person. I wasnt around when people was talking about the 2004, I just bought my truck (07), so Im sorry if I dont understand that.

2009 f150 pics

not sure if anyone has posted this or not yet.

The interior is going to really suck for us aftermarket audio guys. Personally i dont like it. I hate the lines of the truck and it sort of resembles a toyota/chevy mix breed.
