Lift Measurement Help 37s

I measure 30.5" from the center of my front wheel to the middle of the wheel arch. Can someone with a stock FX4 help me figure out how much lift I have?

Thanks

A stock 4x4 should be about 23"

23" sounds about right considering you need to be right around 8" to clear 37's.

Is there any specific reason you're trying to find out?

I'm actually at 31.5" so I'm set at 8.5" of lift if stock is 23. My CV angle is too agreesive and before I send my Procomp coilovers out for rebuild I want to determine how much to have them adjusted down.

I just today measured an FX4 at 21", so maybe the one I measured has settled or something.

I have a 1" levelling kit on top of cranked coilovers so I figured I was around 9" at least.

It varies from truck to truck, to get the closest answer you'd need to measure on a truck with the same motor, cab, bed length, options, and roughly the same amount of miles.

Post a picture of your cv angles though, removing the leveling kit may be enough to get them back to a better place.

That one must have been worn out as it should be an inch taller than mine. My 2wd meaures exactly 22" from center cap to wheel well arch and I don't have any kind of spacer or level. I do have brand new coils and shocks though. But every single truck, even with the same trim, engine and body can and will sit a little different from one another.

23 is pretty standard for this generation 4wd truck that doesn't have a worn out or drooping suspension.

What do your uca/bj and cv angles look like? That can't be good for the suspension!

Does the uca touch the coil spring when going over bumps?

On sharp speed bumps they do contact. Not sure if you can see the small metal to metal contact wear mark on the coil.

I have ran this setup for over 50k miles. I just changed the original upper ball joints around 8k ago. The inner boots have finally tore as well.

I'd definitely lower the front end or do a real lift. Those angles aren't good. The ball joint can only move so far each way and it's totally maxed out where it is now. If also worry about the cv and tie rods too.

It has a 6" lift now. Way back when I pUT 37s on I was trying to avoid a body lift. I think I will remove the spacer and do a little trimming. What I should have done many years ago.
