Any install tips on Rancho Quick lifts???
Wanted to let everyone know that the install was a success and I wanted to share some helpful advice.
To re-cap I installed the Adjustable 9000XL on the back 2weeks ago and loaded QL's on the front yesterday. After a week the back are settling in and I like the setting on 3 ,as it is a very smooth and non - harsh ride ( factory like).
On to the front! First off there is alot of numbers as to the lower shock nut and bolt size. My 07 took a 27mm standard / 30mm deep well and the fit perfect. First side took 2 hrs due to trying to figure out removing old and getting the new seated. A 2ft pry bar or breaker is needed and if u can get a helper to put the pry bar under the a arm and through the strut hole for leverage, I found this to be easiest way.
I did use the Rancho video and its a good starting point on the steps to take, it is one of those " each install is different scenarios". My main jack point was the side I was working cross member, but found i was using 3 jacks at one point to get the upper bj and assembly the reach so I could thread the nut.
All said and done with 3 hrs spent on a Saturday, I am very happy with this setup over my 2 inch spacer I had before.
BTW, you do need a alignment afterwards. My truck drove straight with no pulling and Firestone sheet said I was off by a good bit.

Nice and thanks for the recap too!!
When we did the install it was on a new truck too, so that is a good point.
Also good idea on the alignment.

Good luck with the Rancho QL's! When I was a young man, Rancho quickly established itself as a brand I preferred not to use as the longeveity of their products is substandard. It broke and rusted sooner than one would expect. Several years later I bought a set of these QL's for my 08 F150, same deal, JUNK! Another ffriend got them on his 04 F150 and another on his 09 GMC, ssame deal, all JUNK after a short period of time. They rust out, they loose lift and one had a broken spring. I put the factory struts back in with a 2" AS and no problems since. I still have the QL's sitting in the garage, free, come get em! Againi,, Good Luck!
Wow! That's a brutal post above. If it's any consolation, I have Rancho QL's on my 08 Lariat and loved them day one and still love them.
Be sure to have your front end aligned afterwards as the change in stance will affect alignment
